Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It does sound like you are handling it rather well. Or, well, not handling the hair yet, but certainly hiding any disappointment you may have.

I've never really mentioned here that I find many Asian women gorgeous too, have I? I'd hate for you to get the impression that I was a one-fetish wonder.

And hey, lots of cool people don't like lamb.

You run into a definitional problem here. It's like muffaletta without olive spread.

move out and draw fire

OK, tire change was successful, if expensive. I need to get four new tires, really, but it will be cheaper to order them via the internets and have them shipped here.

The tire place was called the "Center of Elastics."

Underwear return successful. I ran into the other tenant, a guy by the name of Nikos Papadopoulis. He was wearing a t-shirt that said "Kiss me, I'm Irish."

I was able to distract him from asking what I was doing with a bag of the girls' underwear by asking him what he was doing with a box containing about 300 shot glasses. "Getting rid of my collection," he said. Nikos got married two weeks ago.

Ok, maybe a little bit doomed.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Timelies!

{{Em and Aimee}} Hope they are sleeping as I type...

Hivemind question: Tom did some networking last week with a CEO with a cool company that deals with stuff that is quite connected to his background (AI, etc.) Tom is not on the hunt for a new job right now, he's pretty happy where he is, but I am thinking it would be good to send a quick email to the CEO saying it was good to meet him and basically saying, "keep in touch, your business sounds cool" so he can start building up his contact list in case Tom does want to make a change (or finds he has not choice but to do so) in the future.

Any thoughts about how to phrase it so that it doesn't exactly read like he's looking for something right at this moment, but could be interested in something down the road? Every time I try to draft something it sounds too much like wanting to get an interview next week.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Good morning, Nora. What about something like, "It was nice to meet you. If I'm ever in a position where I can assist you with X (whatever esoteric thingy) please contact me." Make it sound helpful, give a little. I'm not firing on all cylinders, so I'm betting someone else could come up with something better.

I hope Aimee, Joe and Em are sleeping and that Em is feeling much better.

Good morning Deena! Thanks for the wording above, that is very helpful.

I was happy to read about your doctor the other day, I'm glad you've finally got someone good. How are the young 'uns doing?

The young'uns are peachy. Aidan is learning how to use the word "I", and Kara is learning how to freak us out. She licked Nick's hand twice yesterday, completely out of the blue both times. The look on his face was so funny.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Wacky fun.

Oh, that Kara. She'll keep life interesting for years to come.

Hmm. palm of hand or back of hand?

What is even happening?

Hmm. palm of hand or back of hand?
Is there a raised-eyebrow emoticon?
