The linen dress would probably require more altering than I can do by myself to work.
If I can find a top that will work, I may be able to fake it if the skirt I wore to the last wedding I attended still fits me... (I was almost 11 weeks when I last wore it, so it might.)

I have my plane ticket to Boston - arriving 8:30 Thursday the 4th, leaving 11:30 Tuesday the 9th. I am available anytime that's not Saturday for lunches, dinners, house and apartment-warmings, Jen-coddling, Toto-walking, cat-petting, helping Somervillains cram for tests, or just about exactly whatever.
Talking to Kara on the phone is the next best thing to talking to her mommy. She always says the cutest things.

Oh, I'm looking at both. I'd prefer a dress, as I don't fit most of my dressy skirts (though there's still the one mentioned in the previous post that may work), but a dressy shirt + skirt is most certainly an option I've given a lot of thought to. And I know I'm being neurotic about this, for complicated and petty reasons involving some of the other wedding guests and my own personal demons.
