Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Woot! A's win on superfreaky play, take series from Angels and are now in first place by themselves.

Freaky Play: A's catcher Jason Kendall is on third. Bottom of the ninth. Angels pitcher throws beautiful slider but doesn't get the call. Stares in at umpire with sullen glare. Catcher throws ball back, but pitcher is too busy sulking. Snaps at ball with glove and MISSES and ball rolls toward second. Jason Kendall streaks into score the winning run. I have never seen that happen in something that wasn't a little league game.

Speaking of which, Emmett's team won 12-0 today. Emmett had a triple, double and single and played in his checkered Vans since they couldn't find his cleats.

move out and draw fire

Hey Raq, check it out. After the A's tough loss in the first game of the key series against the Angels, Bobby Kielty (who has a huge mane of red hair and has been called Ronnie Mac all year) showed up before yesterday's game looking like this. That'll get you loose. A's won of course.

That is so awesome! This is why I love the A's.

I wish I knew a small woman to come walk on my back. It feels like if it just went back into place, it would be fine.

Um...I'm standing right here!

Kristin, she probably just overlooked you. (ducks)

Ashiatsu.

Mal's babysitter is a shiatsu masseuse. He got a massage on Monday night, lucky devil.

Searching online, you will probably find sources for every possible pro and con for every aspect of copyright, because the actual law is vaguish and people have different opinions and different levels of risk aversion.

I am not what's known as "risk-adverse," so take as you will, but I don't think this cookbook project is going to come to anyone's attention enough to get our butts sued. I have no problem with including recipes from other cookbooks - I mean, we probably aren't taking buyers away from those books, which is the economic basis of IPR issues.

Woot! A's win on superfreaky play, take series from Angels and are now in first place by themselves.

OK, that's just juvenile, and clearly the A's deserved to take first. And here I was just hoping for a wildcard slot.

The other reason I love the A's - they do so well on such a small budget. Why do other teams still denegrate Beaneball?

Off to take Mallory to his follow-up vet checkup, although he's doing much better. He did throw up last night, but I'm not sure it was illness-related, as he appeared to be aiming for the cat.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We got back home this evening. That's the good news. The bad news is that the baby is sick and I am sick. Which just sucks ass.

Good luck! Poor Mal.

Poor Cash and O! I hope you guys feel better soon. Glad you're home, though.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Welcome home Cashmere and Owen!

The Zmayhem wedding CDs are so badass, I've been strutting through my commute all week long.

Tom and I went to a local hotel client event last night and (gasp) networked! Well, it's not so gasp-worthy for me, I can ramble on about stuff with just about anyone, especially with a gimlet or 2 in me, but Tom did some terrific conversation with a CEO of a local company. I was very proud of him, it's very tough for him to do.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Just woke up from very odd dream.

Post apocalyptic fanfic, apparently, as Buffy and Spike were travelling along together and came upon a settlement of humans under attack by demons. They got the demons sorted out, then vaulted over the wall to meet and greet the humans. Buffy was so discouraged at the state of things that she encouraged Spike to start drinking people, because letting them live would be giving them false hope. Spike responded by telling her he couldn't do that in front of her, so give him some room. When she went off by herself in the encampment, he started chatting with the people, and did not eat them.

If I were writing the fic on purpose, at this point some of them would volunteer for controlled feedings.

What is even happening?

Oh, no. What kind of sick, Cashmere? I hope you both get better, right away.

Good for him. This is always what I think of as "too bad for everyone." The soft spoken, thoughtful people are the ones worth listening to, says I (probably too loudly, and I'm likely interrupting when I say it).

Freaky dream, Andi.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure why I've been comfortable grabbing TV shows off the internet, yet have never posted anyone else's recipe in public. Not sure at all. I don't think it's about whether or not anyone will notice, either.

However, when you bring money into it, I think ... well, it's not quite cousinjean, but I'd be uncomfortable with the board acquiring money through a copyright violation.

Heh. It helped that they were talking about AI stuff and we didn't know the guy was a CEO till they got into the conversation.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That is a freaky dream, WindSparrow.

This must be the season for vampiric dreams, because I dreamed last night that I'd moved into an apartment complex that was inhabited by them. It was a very modern apartment complex with an open floorplan and lots and lots of windows, so I suspect the vampires were not that bright. Or perhaps they got their own Jems of Amara as a lease signing bonus.
