That is a freaky dream, WindSparrow.
This must be the season for vampiric dreams, because I dreamed last night that I'd moved into an apartment complex that was inhabited by them. It was a very modern apartment complex with an open floorplan and lots and lots of windows, so I suspect the vampires were not that bright. Or perhaps they got their own Jems of Amara as a lease signing bonus.
Were they pretty?
The vampires? Hard to say. I was warned about them by a little old lady who dropped by to welcome me to the apartment complex. Mostly, I just saw suspiciously moving shadows outside. The apartments were rather lovely, in a modernist kinda way. (All big windows and odd angles.)
I just got home from dropping Toto off at the vet for his all-day test. I cried the whole 45 minutes home, but have basically decided that I'd rather just know what's going on. This not knowing shit is not fun. At least once I know what it is I can make decisions and deal with it. So, I don't hope that he has Cushing's Disease, but I hope these tests help us figure out what it is.
I'm sorry, vw. I hope the doctors find something minor, and easily treatable.
I wonder if Fay has seen this?
Bwah! Oh, adorable.

Re: the cookbook project - in
Nigella Bites,
probably half the recipes come from other cookbooks. She cites the cookbook and its author, says nice things about it, and then explains that this is her twist on that recipe.
