Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
We're good, and busy. Hopeful for the new school year. Brendon is in 8th and has one period a day where he does a teacher assistant thing. He is helping in a computer class and math. Smarty pants. Bobby has 3 male teachers and 1 female this year. (5th) I think this might be good for him because he seems to try and snow the women with his charms while he responds differently to the male authority. Hey, whatever works.
We bought a cabin in the mountains, upstate NY, and I opened an office and stopped working out of the house last month. I'm rather in nesting hell heaven with getting 3 places in order.
I'm delaying my bedtime a little bit to see if I can catch some meteor streaks. Probably not in the city, but I'll sit out for a bit.
You're starting a new school session too, yes? Your schedule is much different.
eta on xpost: snerk to ita's link.
I am starting a new school year in a few days, and at a new school to boot. And I loved the pictures of the cabin. How amazing how grownup your boys are becoming.
Hope you get some meteor sightings.
Ah yes, I thought I had read that you were at a new school too. Lucky students.
Yep, I'm thinking I need to cut down on the feedings. The rate of growth on the boys is awful. B.Jr. no longer can wear regular men's socks; I have to buy extended size. He's only 13. He's over 6' and Bobby is over 5' and he's still 10. At least they all accept the rule of the house is that the oldest rules.
After midnight, strolling outside now. G'night all.
somewhere out there someone will be interested in the story.

brenda, thanks. I'll do some more research too. I want to be sensitive, but realistic. Doing this would serious limit the amount of recipes I would be able to include as well, since I'm a cookbook cooker and baker, but I've still got a few "family" recipes. I could make you all try to figure out my grandpa's fudge recipe. Now that would be fun!
ION, I am wide awake...at 1:30 am. Yay! Guess trying to get by without my meds isn't such a good idea.
Woot! A's win on superfreaky play, take series from Angels and are now in first place by themselves.
Freaky Play: A's catcher Jason Kendall is on third. Bottom of the ninth. Angels pitcher throws beautiful slider but doesn't get the call. Stares in at umpire with sullen glare. Catcher throws ball back, but pitcher is too busy sulking. Snaps at ball with glove
and MISSES
and ball rolls toward second. Jason Kendall streaks into score the winning run. I have never seen that happen in something that wasn't a little league game.
Speaking of which, Emmett's team won 12-0 today. Emmett had a triple, double and single and played in his checkered Vans since they couldn't find his cleats.
Hey Raq, check it out. After the A's tough loss in the first game of the key series against the Angels, Bobby Kielty (who has a huge mane of red hair and has been called Ronnie Mac all year) showed up before yesterday's game looking like this. That'll get you loose. A's won of course.
That is so awesome! This is why I love the A's.
I wish I knew a small woman to come walk on my back. It feels like if it just went back into place, it would be fine.
Um...I'm standing right here!
Kristin, she probably just overlooked you. (ducks)
Ashiatsu.
Mal's babysitter is a shiatsu masseuse. He got a massage on Monday night, lucky devil.
Searching online, you will probably find sources for every possible pro and con for every aspect of copyright, because the actual law is vaguish and people have different opinions and different levels of risk aversion.
I am not what's known as "risk-adverse," so take as you will, but I don't think this cookbook project is going to come to anyone's attention enough to get our butts sued. I have no problem with including recipes from other cookbooks - I mean, we probably aren't taking buyers away from those books, which is the economic basis of IPR issues.

OK, that's just juvenile, and clearly the A's deserved to take first. And here I was just hoping for a wildcard slot.
The other reason I love the A's - they do so well on such a small budget. Why do other teams still denegrate Beaneball?
Off to take Mallory to his follow-up vet checkup, although he's doing much better. He did throw up last night, but I'm not sure it was illness-related, as he appeared to be aiming for the cat.
We got back home this evening. That's the good news. The bad news is that the baby is sick and I am sick. Which just sucks ass.

Good luck! Poor Mal.

Poor Cash and O! I hope you guys feel better soon. Glad you're home, though.
Welcome home Cashmere and Owen!
The Zmayhem wedding CDs are so badass, I've been strutting through my commute all week long.
Tom and I went to a local hotel client event last night and (gasp) networked! Well, it's not so gasp-worthy for me, I can ramble on about stuff with just about anyone, especially with a gimlet or 2 in me, but Tom did some terrific conversation with a CEO of a local company. I was very proud of him, it's very tough for him to do.
