You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

On the plus side - conceivably a lot more time to work on my novel.

Life may be subsidizing your art in a sneaky fashion. For which I say: Go Life! I hope it all pans out such that in a year's time you reflect on the year and say, "Yeah, that worked out pretty damn well."

Scrappy, JZ was indeed delighted and verklempt at receiving her pink bike. She wasn't totally shocked though since she'd read the board. But I did need to bounce it off folks before I pulled the trigger.

Susan, who's your new pitcher? He sounds daunting. Speaking of which, Vlad crushed us with a grand slam last night. If you're lucky enough to go 0-2 to Vlad with the bases loaded, I think it's pretty fucking obivous that you throw the next four pitches in the dirt because he will chase them. You certainly don't throw anything within a foot and a half of the strike zone. Guy's a freakin' monster. (which I say with great respect. I wish we had a monster like that.)

What is even happening?

Goober. This is what filtered LJ entries are for.

Always Anti-fascist!

as opposed to the stingy fashion preferred by, as Ms. Ivins might say, "The U.S. guvmint." ETA: That was about supported art. Go me. I'm Mapplethorpe, with fewer pissy crucifixes!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I just got a call on my office phone asking for "The parents of Denise Boner."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, vw, I would be furious. Letter-writing furious but then my home is very very private and I don't like people in it. People I haven't invited less so.

Fay, I am glad that you will be paid for the contract but not sure how to feel about the rest. Um, yes, more writing time maybe.

I should really look for silver linings where I can.

I'm all agronk today.

Oh my. At least it wasn't a "Richard".

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm back from Vermont, for the record.

(Yes, I was gone.)

A few pictures of people you (mostly) don't know:

Bro and my new Sis.

The bro, working it.

The bro, being a big old dork.

Me and the bro.

So. Very. Cute.

Most gorgeous dress EVAR.

This is where the shindig was held.

Up with the sun

I love her dress, Stephanie. Is it green or blue? Either way, it looks like a relaxed, fun wedding, and they look so happy together.

This is my favorite one still.

Work is making me crazy today. But, on the total bright side, I get to go riding after work and my dad is going to come by to watch and take pictures so I am happy. Because there are times I am still totally a daddy's girl and twelve.
