Simon: I, uh... I never-never shot anyone before. Book: I was there, son. I'm fair sure you haven't shot anyone yet.

'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

my own growing reputation on the Eastern Seaboard as an omnisexual homewrecker

Wear it proudly.

Oh lands, yes. Maybe on a T-shirt.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Is it childish not to send your ex-husband a quick "happy birthday" email?

A couple of days ago he sent me an email saying, "I'm sorry to hear about the new lesion. If I can do anything, let me know." And I was sorely tempted to reply, "Well, you could have started by not divorcing me."

If I only had a brain...

Divorce means that you are no longer in any way responsible for making him happy.

Wish him a happy birthday only if you feel like it.

No. It's not. You are still finding your boundaries and comfort zone. It's not childish at all. You're trying to find normal.

Oh, honey.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

We're meeting in about half an hour. Wanna come with?

Yes! I mean, I won't be, but I wanna. Have fun! Say hi to the burrowing owls. Oh, and the Californian condors. And the Pere David's deer. And the birds, pretty much all of them. And if any other animals look like they're missing me, say hi to them too.

Not javachik

Skimmy skim skim and hullo.

North Beach parking on a weekend is notoriously bad.

My nephew is playing at Jazz at Pearl's in North Beach and I went to the first show last Friday - and lucked out with a legal parking spot right on Columbus right in front of the Purple Onion. Whoot!

Whoa! Fabulous photos.

Re housing in the Seattle area, another local friend has bought a house in the San Juans. So now I have friends to visit on Lummi Island, Salt Spring Island, and two in Port Townsend, which is kind of in the San Juans, being in the rain shadow 'n' all. I expect this doesn't do anything to help the local housing prices for long time Seattle residents, sadly.

I think Katerina bee has gone on vacation, fyi.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Read the Sean Bean thing. I had completely forgotten that I absolutely, positively have to see The Island.

Hi Java cat!

Toast with sour cherry preserves: I have paid off my student loans in a biggish lump sum. I am now broke, but owe no one anything, except what I've charged this month on my Visa. Whew!

Ann, that's a ferret.

lib, if you can pay off the bill in full when it comes in, it doesn't count as debt.

Congrats!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Whoot for debt-free-ness!
