I'm going through a bunch of stuff, find my Catwoman action figure, with her grapple harness, whip, and net. And I took her out of the packaging to play with her, nyah! Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to keep just the action figure or the card she was attached to as well, so I turn it over to read the blurbs.
Re: the net: "Pretend to catch another figure by throwing the net over him." Who's in the picture with the net over him? Batman.
Last section of the descriptive text: "With an agile body, she climbs buildings to enact her crimes. With a crack of her whip she greets her frantic, net-captured victims."
Before I met you people, my mind did not automatically go to the Porny Place with this sort of thing!
that's right, you guys are in Fairbault, right
Right. In Faribault. or "Faribo" for those looking for a pronunciation....
I just found Netflix for game systems: [link] Yay! No more renting from Evil Blockbuster!
Stephanie -- I'm so glad that your father's operation went well.

Well, more like FARE-eh-bow, but the less sophisticated pronunciation has the t in it: Fair-bolt. Generally fisticuffs are avoided between the two camps.
Eye-rolling is mutual, but the Fairbolt contingent also claims the french pronunciation is all hoity-toity. On the other hand, both call the nearby town of New Prague "New Praig."
Superman is fighting Captain Marvel on my TV. (Cartoon Network)
I'm totally a geek.
Cookies are all baked for tomorrow. And they're displayed on my pretty platter. One more set of pina colata ice to be made before bed. Then, tomorrow morning I'll fix up the peanutty chocolate cake. Mmmmmm...
Emily tested the cookies. She has declared them good.

People just don't care anymore. Sigh.
We spent the afternoon with JohnSweden. He dutifully marched up and down Haight Street with us, and watched Emmett wheedle a new book at Booksmith and a Star Wash figure at Kid Robot. We shot some pool at Rockin' Java (where John just barely squeezed out a win over Emmett by one ball), and did a quick sweep through Amoeba just for the impression of overwhelming size.
Then we came back to the apt. and played cards with our new Pirate Card deck. We drove John down to North Beach and I gave him a quick tour of the main intersection of Columbus and Broadway, showed him where Helmand was, and City Lights Bookstore and Tosca and Vesuvios and turned him loose to play for a couple of hours before his dinner tonight.
We're back at home (after a pit stop at Yum), awaiting pizza and watching Duck Soup.
