I am in Elgin, IL. It is thrilling, I tell you. Well, actually I'm having a good time, but the burbs are a little frightening. We had an amusing time last night trying to find a place to get some food at 2AM, and ending up at the largest grocery store i have EVER been in. And when we couldn't find the hummus, asked a guy stocking fruit, who said "Hummus? I don't think we carry those...". Um. (We eventually found it).

Yeah, well, neither one fits. Duly noted, Cindy, although I fear that too much of a reduction in snark will lead me to playing deadly hangman like that guy on Homicide, and Phoenix has fewer letters than Baltimore. (You know what's weird about that? I watched that episode and "Fred gets out of Pylea" the same week...that is still a crossover waiting to happen, all the writing on the wall.)

We went to open house today for Brendon's school. His schedule looks good. They put him in a new course they just started this year called Peer Counseling. It is a judge and jury kind of thing for school issues. Sounds interesting. Finally got PE after requesting it and not getting it for the last couple years. Honors Geometry that he'll get HS credit for.

I need to do about 5 loads of laundry and much housework. Ugh. I don't wanna.

I must get baking, but I have to do dishes first, and I don't wanna!

But, I have made the first batch of pina colada ice. Next come the giant coffee house cookies...two batches of those suckers. Tomorrow morning I'll make my famous (or what used to be famous, anyway) peanutty chocolate cake.
