Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The landlord (who bequeathed them onto us) suggested I bread and fry the flowers also, but that doesn't sound appealing.

I've never had them but have heard they are wonderful. Lydia Boccacio makes them on her show.

Mmmmm... I'm so glad you're going to have the soup. I love it so.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hi!

This summer job was fun, but I am so exhausted. The last couple days were crazy, dealing with admin stuff and stuff with the students and stuff with their parents. Plus, on Thursday, I had to break up a fistfight between two 13-year-old boys. But now I've got a couple free weeks to unwind before my classes start again.

Someone once wrote to Dan Savage about making breast milk cheese.

I would SO try breast milk ice cream or cheese. How COOL would that be? though I suppose figuring the butterfat content would be a bitca.

Fried zucchini flowers are yummy. My family makes them all the time.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh they are terrible. Bad. Ick. Send all of them to me and I will make them go away for you. Mmmm, blossoms.

Hi Hil!

I just had my nephew's birthday present put aside at the bookstore. This phone call aside, I have too much to do in the next hour. I lack motivation. Coffee is delicious but it hasn't really helped.

how on earth did you do it?

Mostly, judicious use of Teacher Voice. Also, there was only one kid who was really trying to fight -- the other was pretty much just trying to shove him away -- so once they were separated, it was pretty much just talking down the one who was still trying to throw punches. Still, not fun.

What is even happening?

I had decided I was going to put out an APB on you Hil, if you didn't post by Monday morning. Hi!

Hi, Hil!

{{{Askye}}} You've still got time to do something...don't be so hard on yourself.

I just got up. Lazy Saturday, I guess.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have spent the day looking for a desktop computer I could afford, and I haven't found anything yet. So, I purchased Buffy S7, because it was in my goldbox cheaper than I have seen it anywhere. This is probably only justifiable in my mind.
