Ow. Will someone please tell me to stop picking at a mental/emotional scab, left over from a friendship I had to walk away from? It still hurts, dammit.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Say, could you find out if the Alchemist will be involved with this beer festival?
I'd bet good money that they will be. But I'll ask.

This bet has made my day.

I'm sorry about your mental picking. I had a terrible commute the other day, because I thought I saw someone on the train from my past, a terrible time for me, and I just got lost in the abyss of my own stupidity and pain. It took a while to shake that off.
I hope the scabs heal. You know you did the right thing. You can't change the past, but I bet you did what you had to do for your present and future.

Juliana, sweetie, step away from the scab.
Stop it, juliana. It's never going to heal over if you keep picking at it.
Kate, my sympathies to you and your family. Your grandfather sounds like a good and well-loved man. He'll be missed.
Steph, so glad that so far at least, you seem to be enjoying yourself. When the activities ramp up, I hope that continues. Felicitations to all celebrants!
Feel-betters to Toto!
And feel-betters as well, to the cat of Fred Pete, and to Mr. Pete himself, Felicitations on the anniversary of your natal day!
The scabs of life afflict us all.
Life doesn't break my skin that often. But a deep tissue bruise can last quite a while, even after you think you've healed.
