Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Juliana, sweetie, step away from the scab.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Stop it, juliana. It's never going to heal over if you keep picking at it.

Kate, my sympathies to you and your family. Your grandfather sounds like a good and well-loved man. He'll be missed.

Steph, so glad that so far at least, you seem to be enjoying yourself. When the activities ramp up, I hope that continues. Felicitations to all celebrants!

Feel-betters to Toto!

And feel-betters as well, to the cat of Fred Pete, and to Mr. Pete himself, Felicitations on the anniversary of your natal day!

All is well that ends in pizza.

The scabs of life afflict us all.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Life doesn't break my skin that often. But a deep tissue bruise can last quite a while, even after you think you've healed.

Mostly lurking...

Steph, the B&B looks gorgeous! Have fun!

{{{Juliana}}}

{{{Kate and Family}}} You are in my thoughts.

I'm at work...and I will be till 5pm. My boss went "home" to go to a doctor's appointment. She cracked her jaw yesterday or something and is in a terrible amount of pain. I'm glad she got in to see the doctor, 'cause I was really worried about her yesterday.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate it. The pain just caught me off-guard today.

In less-metaphorical bruising and scabbing: ita, it looks like I'll be studying capoeira in the fall. I'm very excited, and more than a little apprehensive.

Oh, nice!

I can't lie -- it's the hardest martial art I've loved. You want to go in relaxed, flexible, and with as much upper body strength as you can muster.

It's also incredibly fun.

Well, I've got one out of three. I think I can get the upper-body strength by then. The relaxed... Hmm.

The nice thing for me is the class is small and taught by a friend, so I know I'll feel... safe? Trusting. Comfortable. Something like that. But yeah, hearing your stories about it has made me really want to try it. I'll have to go easy in the first two weeks (pre-marathon), but I think I'll have a lot of fun.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Many Happy Returns of the Day, Fred Pete!
