Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Waves to Emmett

Busy as usual. Brendon goes to Philly for a couple days tomorrow about 5am. Kids start school next Wednesday. Yay! New office with 2 new employees. Yay. Life, she is never boring.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yay on school, Deena. This was the optimal Preschool Outcome, right?

Shopping for school is fun.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Bleh, Hec. Hope it's all resolved with a minimum of pain for everyone.

Sail, I found the download settings page, and changed it to allow everyone.

Jess, wonderful photos. The sunsets were stunning. I love the way your hair color looks in the full sun. Whee! Very pretty.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay for Kara and preschool!

Sorry about work, Hec. That mindreading thing is apparently not working out for you.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I've got to find my social security card and I remmber putting it someplace "safe" but I don't know where that was.

Find ~ma to you, askye. I think that "somewhere safe" is on the same beat as "the dryer" for those gnomes that steal your socks.

Happy Anniversary Aimee and MM!!

So the district manager calls me today saying he got "An anonymous tip, and heard from several of my employees" that I was planning on leaving because my boss had told me that I'd be fired eventually anyway. Now A) She did say that he had told her that she would have to give me an unsatisfactory review in a month. (We aren't making our sales plan.) but B) She didn't say it around any employees and C) Even if she did, who the fuck's going to bother calling the DM with that? And, I'd had a long discussion with him on Thursday in which I admitted to him that I hadn't made my mind up yet as to what I'd be doing next.

So, he tells me that he'd expect it from other people, but was floored to hear it about me. I, of course, lie, and say that I'd never heard such things! (I did. But they didn't make my mind up for me.) He spent more time trying to get me to say something bad about my boss, which I don't get because, dude, she resigned. It's over. Move on.

Anyhoodle, I assured him that were I to be leaving at any point, it would be for the reasons we'd previously discussed and not petty gossip, and that I was very disturbed by my staff talking like that. I just can't wait to be done with all this. Bangs head against wall.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I got very good news today. Kara is going to get to go to the free preschool in the fall!

WOO HOO!!!

Hec, I'm sorry you're workday sucked. I hope the situation is resolved with as little stress for you as possible.

Find~ma, Askye.

Deena, could you hop on AIM for a minute?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hate to say it, but it sounds as if your bosslady was badmouthing you to the staff. or she did so to someone who extrapolated and gossiped.
