((Susan)) So sorry to hear about your father. As so many people have said, it's good that you had a visit with him so recently. You are so wonderfully gifted with words, that I believe you will be able to make him real for Annabel. In a more practical vein, when my DH's mother entered Hospice care in a state far away from us, I started to make sure I spoke with the Hospice nurse for updates in addition to my hubby. It took some of the pressure off him to keep me informed if he wasn't in the mood to talk about it and I got all of my questions answered (some things my husband didn't want to ask or wasn't ready for).
((brenda)) Feel better. Do tell your doctor that this pattern has to change.
I am trying to decide if it is a good thing that none of those shoes are in my size. It keeps me from buying them, but doesn't much help the feeling of wanting.
Also, is this where I announce I cut my hair shorter? I took in Anne W.'s pictures - printed 'em right out - and said, "make mine like this in the back." And he did, and I love it. Pictures, maybe tomorrow.
Anne is an inspiration! Yay, pictures.
Perkins! Guess what I got in the mail?!?
This could be fun! (and it sounds like I don't want to go into Natter)
What should Teppy have gotten in the mail?
Ewan McGregor?
A new car?
A big huge billboard that says " I, Steph L., do really and truly suck"?
Very funny, missy. Very funny....
I got this message from my wife about Leif.
Okay, the kids were at my parents' house yesterday for a time. Leif insisted he wanted his portable playpen set up so he could take a nap.
While my mother left the room for 30 seconds to get something for it, he did something which scares me silly. He did not actually take a nap, but when I picked them up and my mother grabbed his blankie from the bed, she found a match and a box of matches carefully hidden under it. When Leif saw those, he said, "Those are matches. They are for starting fires!"
He just turned 3. I wonder if he'll make it to 6? Or if our house will?
Leif is just scary sometimes. Gotta keep an eye on that little guy.
Hee. eta that was to Steph, not Gud.
I got my fitrst BPAL purchase today, but I am a little afraid to open it until I get home, because the closed box smells a little like perfume/essential oils.
I can't decide if I like this skirt
I think it's the presentation on the web site that makes it hard to decide. Alone, it looks like a slip rather than a skirt.

Which ones did you order? (Also, yeah, when you open the box, the smell is likely to be overwhelming. I'd wait.)
Jilli, oh, JILLI! I'm all gothed up. Or, at least as gothy as I get.
Photos. Where. Are. The. Photos?
Aiiiiieeeee. flail NaNa Kei Love these. Want these. Must have these. So must JZ and Jilli. Must must must.
Ooooooh. But a 13" calf circumference? Hmmm. Must find measuring tape when I get home.

Open it, open it! The scent won't overwhelm everything around you, I promise.
