Exactly right.
It's my one real girly thing, I love and need my pedicures. Fiercely. Luckily there is a really nice, really clean and really affordable place that I found years ago.
Can you repair you toe-dos? Do you have the technology?
I can't. I lack the polish. I also lack the fine motor skills to redo the entire toe. French pedis are so pretty but you really need to be able to do the tips right or they just look horrible. Thus I pay others.
My nail place will redo toes when I mess them up but this isn't a brand-new pedi, I just need to get them redone.
I am debating seeing if I have a pale color to put on top of the chipped French to get me through the week.
I have had exactly one pedicure in my life, and there was no polish. I keep meaning to get a second one, but it hasn't happened yet, so I keep just cutting my nails and polishing them myself. Right now, they are alternating Blue Sapphire Chrome and Aquamarine Chrome.
I made french toast for us this morning. Yesterday, as well.
It is yummy.
I had TJ's low fat French toast this morning. Yummy, though I am sure not nearly as yummy as yours.
I keep waiting for all of my fingernails to be a length that would make it worthwhile to get a manicure; when they get there, I am going to throw in a pedi too. Right now I only have one nail that is too short, so maybe later in the week.
OOh, or maybe I can get Aimee to go get one with me next weekend.
I like the look of a French mani, but I find that I chip them immediately. The toes, NSM.
Hee.
ION, soon I will be off (in the 99 degree heat) to watch penguins march.
Do you have a spreadsheet? Will there be preferential voting? Is there a Toto compatability test? Will they have to do the dreaded Polynomial/Knitting biathalon?
Bwah! Sorry, I went and took a nap. There will be a Toto compatability test, called meeting him, but that's it.
I love having pretty painted fingernails (elegant French, deep deep wine tones, bloody reds) but it is a love that dare not try to last more than a few hours.
So manis are traditionally a no paint zone for me. I just have them clean up my cuticles mostly.
My toes, though, can usually make it a month oftentimes and easily more than two weeks.
I just threw some shimmery opally amethyst-y color on top of my toes. It looks like an uncoordinated child helped.
Health-ma to your MiL, beth.
