Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That cut suits you, ChiKat, and that is a wicked cool tiara. He's a keeper.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ok. It was just as horrible as I'd imagined, so it's good that I think of the worst case. I'm pretty much being manipulated, and not in a malicious way. My friend just wants something from me that I can't give her and keep her as a friend, at least not a good one. We could stay acquaintances, but that's as far as I could comfortably go. Not because I'd cut her off for being a horrible person, but because I wouldn't want to deal. I'm not even really angry with her, because I can see where she's coming from. I even feel sorry for her, but she's asking for something I just can't do. I feel badly that I can't, and I don't feel good about myself and my maturity, but it will drive me insane.

Everybody out to get me issues? Yes. Boundary issues? No.

Thanks for hugs and punctuation and all (specially from TB, my favorite imaginary internet crush).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's tough Heather, but you sound like you're clear on the situation. I do so admire your strength.

Kat! That cut looks fab on you.

Lib - it sounds like you feel a little giddy with your new haircut. That's definitely a good sign.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ION, I cannot fucking believe that game ending play in the A's game tonight! Aiyeee. Kendall (our catcher) dove face first into a guy's cleats to make the final out at the plate. It was a huge do or die sacrifice your body for the team moment.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Lastly, some good news.

The ex-GF had her baby! I'm so happy for her. She named her daughter after her best friend.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Very nice cut, Chikat, and pretty tiara!

I mean seriously, it's like someone knows you have issues about your Buffy DVDs. They think it's nuts, and you've acknowledged that yes, perhaps it is, but there it is anyway. So they sneak a couple, mention that those eps you loaned them were good, so you freak out. "I NEVER LOANED THOSE TO YOU OMG!! DON"T TOUCH!1!!!!1" Like a crazy person. You know it's crazy, but there it is anyway. So you forgive them for it and they say they're sorry for sneaking the discs, and everything's fine. In fact, you let them watch some with you occasionally.

Then a few months later they're all, "Man, I haven't seen any good tv. There is nothing on. That Joss sure did have a good tv show." and eyeing your boxed sets again.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's about drugs right? Or sex? Sex and drugs and Buffy DVDs? That's my final guess. Maybe some porn.

Heh. Would that it were.

Much more messy and complicated, and I'm not going to come out of it looking shiny. But dude, if I've told you to lay off something, don't try to manipulate me out of it. Either I call you on it, or I watch you being sneaky and think less of you. Neither thing gets either of us what we want.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yes. Heather will not share her stash and the friend wants to bogart it.

Or she is not sharing baked goods. Which would just be wrong.

Memememeeeee warning:
Oh dear god it is so hot here. It got to 90 here today. In San Diego. So wrong. The house is down to the mid-80s now, but I am just weak from the heat. I grew up in Joshua Tree/29 Palms and lived for five years in Phoenix and this is just too damn hot. The cats were shut up in a house that was well over 90 degrees today. I demand a refund. And an ice bath.
