Yes. Heather will not share her stash and the friend wants to bogart it.
Or she is not sharing baked goods. Which would just be wrong.
Memememeeeee warning:
Oh dear god it is so hot here. It got to 90 here today. In San Diego. So wrong. The house is down to the mid-80s now, but I am just weak from the heat. I grew up in Joshua Tree/29 Palms and lived for five years in Phoenix and this is just too damn hot. The cats were shut up in a house that was well over 90 degrees today. I demand a refund. And an ice bath.
I must go to bed now. I'm up at 5 to be at the site at 7. Thursday was fun but hot. Roofing in Texas summer should not be attempted by the faint of heart (or faint of anything really because damn!)
Night, Heather.
There must be some irony that I went to Texas and the weather was amazing and unseasonably gorgeous.
Okay, I am wilting. Sorry for the whining earlier. I'm not adverse to heat so much as this is just stifling and the air isn't moving at all. It just needs to move a little so we can breathe.
Tep - sorry I missed you. I was running around doing the parental thang.
The important thing, Cass is that you have cute and adorable and bouncy hair. The heat will come and go, but the hair is immortal.
Thanks for hugs and punctuation and all (specially from TB, my favorite imaginary internet crush)
{Blushes}
Heather - sorry your friend won't take no for an answer, and tries to manipulate you into making it a yes. Not going to try to guess the specifics cause it really doesn't matter; you said and meant "no". Not accepting that may or may not be understandable depending upon circumstances; it is not the act of a friend.
I keep getting ads on Yahoo! to play "Chuzzle." Am I the only one who thinks this word sounds like a verb you'd see in the subject lines of pr0n spam?
Whoa. Big ass thunder storm about 60 miles to the east. Thunder rolling through, lightening flashing. And severe flood warnings but I don't think the rain will make it this far west.
Of course, now that the cats and I have gone to the back door to peer out and make sure the world isn't ending, it's back to sleepy time.
There is that damp feel to the air and the faintest smell of rain, it's lovely.
Raq, I think you are supposed to wait and not Chuzzle until at least the third date.
Also I missed the rack/rock debate discussion yesterday, but it reminded me of a friend of a friend who changed his name from Scott to Raq. Last name? Pronounced "coons." @@
Back to sleep now.
Timelies!
Many hugs for Heather.
Cute hair and fabulous tiara, ChiKat!
Can't wait to see pictures of libkitty's hair.
Party was a huge success, as was the ugliest cake in the world. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures of the ugliest cake in the world, so you'll all just have to take me word on it :) It pretty much disappeared, though, and tasted FABULOUS. We had a little fruit fly issue at the end, but all else went well. Toto was a little overwhelmed at the beginning, but calmed down and seemed to enjoy being spoiled. And his buddy, Rachie, got him a new favorite toy. Poor Toto actually got full and couldn't finish his cupcake. It was pretty funny/cute.
