Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hil, good thoughts for your friend.

I like Raquel. I've even called you Rachel, in person, and I still think of you--of your online persona--as Raquel or Raq.

If I only had a brain...

Ugh. Can I have a visa to another universe?

NEW YORK Noel Neff, an editor for the Weekly Reader newspaper for schoolchildren, was arrested in a mall parking lot for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor on the Internet.

Weekly frelling READER?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(Gotta agree that Great Rack would be a splendid name.)

Not as good as The Fragrant Todgers though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've had the phrase "jammy dodger" stuck in my head for days. I vote Raquel change to that.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Hil. Shit.

My paper is crap. I'm at the top of page three, and it needs to be four pages. I feel some bullshit coming on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think Raquel's new name should not be Jammy Todger.

Perhaps, Eleganza Nocturnala! Sort of goth drag queen name.

Not that she's drag queenish - it just amuses me. Truth in advertising would require something like: Superhot Stylish Gracious Smartass. But that's a mouthful.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

But that's a mouthful.

...as is Jammy Todger.

(sorry, sorry, but someone had to say it)

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Raquel is an absolutely gorgeous name. It evokes lushness, sensuality, and playfulness. As do the pictures I've seen of you.

It may be a sign of why I'm not married that my first reaction would be to slap a little sensitivity into your beloved other. It's an irrational reaction, I admit, so I hope you'll forgive it, and I promise to be very well behaved if ever in the same room with said beloved other.

That knee jerk reaction on my part disposed of, I'll just say that your chosen name should reflect what you think of yourself, not what anybody else does.

Oh, Hil, I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your friend is safe and send ~ma to you both.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm really, really sorry. I feel terrible for having said all this in a way that made you feel defensive and angry and protective about your love for Tom. That was a shitty, un-friendful thing to do. I'll go back and delete everything if you want -- just say the word.

It's OK, JZ. It was a valid point to bring to the discussion at hand. I tend toward the over-defensive where Tom is concerned. You're totally not shitty or un-friendful.

ION, I went to a protest march-type thing, about 100 of us marched to Gov't Center with petitions calling for our senators to not allow a judge that will overturn Roe go to the Supreme Court. [link]

It was cool. Nice day out, too.
