[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I like this one:

Minearverse 5: Who's Driving This Thing?!

The Vanilla Ice ones crack me up though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Some friends of mine saw Vanilla Ice while crossing the Canadian border.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Who's Driving This Thing is the first to supplant Now Watch This Drive in my affections.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Some friends of mine saw Vanilla Ice while crossing the Canadian border.

I suppose that makes sense, as it's one of the few places even more whitebread than America.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You've been to the wrong bits of Canada, my friend. There's a reason they wave their mosaic banner every time someone mentions the US melting pot.

Vancouver and a swath from Windsor to Toronto. But the only people I saw the whole time who weren't WASPish worked in a Thai restaurant.

Admittedly my own section of America isn't too whitebread, what with living on the edge of Memphis' Vietnamese neighborhood.

Toronto has the largest Jamaican population outside the island itself, IIRC. And Vancouver has the largest Chinatown outside of China.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Toronto has the largest Jamaican population outside the island itself, IIRC. And Vancouver has the largest Chinatown outside of China.

Plus a huge and long-established Sikh population.
