Seems like everyone's got a tale to tell.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Alan Ruck! Good choice.

I have come to the realization that come the revolution, *I* will be first up against the wall. The bourgeois intellectuals go first.

In Cambodia they shot anybody with glasses.

One more in my Nation of Tea Drinkers!

That's still caffeine!

I drink one cup of coffee a day. Down from 3 cups plus a sixpack plus of coke or dr. pepper.

Come the revolution, I'm going to barricade myself in the Giant across from me and become a distributor. I'll get guns that I can't shoot from the armory up the way. And then I'll die in a hail of bullet because I'm rationing diapers and Fresca.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does decaf coffee cause the same sour stomach stuff?

If it is the acidity, yes. At least it has for me. But I've got a wussy stomach these days.

Decaf still has acid in the coffee, but the caffeine, like all stimulants, increases acid production in the stomach, so without the caffeine you only get part of the effect.

If I only had a brain...

In Cambodia they shot anybody with glasses.

How very Logan's Run. There goes anybody over 50...

[insert something funny here]

So, excited by that casting news I pop over to imdb thinking "Hmmm, I have not seen Alan Ruck in anything for maybe years...."

... and I see that his most recent credit is for an episode of Stella tittled "Coffee Shop".

Which is kinda freaky, given the recent subject matter in the thread.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I suppose I should watch "Previously on The Minearverse...", but how much is this going to be like "Cannonball Run"?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Oh, it's EXACTLY like Cannonball Run. Minear ran out of creativity long ago.

If I only had a brain...

Am I the only one here who liked Cannonball Run?
