Spike: Ladies. Come on in. Plenty of blood in the fridge, don't be shy. Dawn: You mean like, real blood? Spike: What do you think? Dawn: Mostly I think, 'Eew!'

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

As a direct result of that night, I have moved 3000 miles to a new job, gotten a divorce, and fallen in love with one of the people posting that night.

Whee! My postiversary must be coming up too! I think it's April 4 or so, whenever Tim announced the cancellation news.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Maybe it's luck, or maybe it's pattern and practice. We don't seem to have a clear guideline in this area, but don't we usually acknowledge that HSQ moments aren't fair game less than 24 hours after airing, with the exception of a thread devoted to that show? It's not fair to expect the readers of any show thread to be up on all shows at all times.

Mommy and Daddy are not mad. Mommy's been leaving work at 2 am and returning at 7 am. Mommy is very tired.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait. I thought ita was Mommy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Daddy's on new meds.

Why am I Daddy, again?

My basic understanding of non-show NAFDA threads is that everything's game, and have read through slitted eyes from time to time because of that.

The vagueness of the defining text, however, should be eliminated--force it into line with someone's expectations--I don't care if it's mine or not. It just needs to be clear.

I am in agreement such as it is that this is not the time or place to hash this out. I'm not asking for a rule, anyway.

Why am I Daddy, again?

You're taller.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Are mommy and daddy getting divorced?

It's not you, it's them... and they both still love you lots.

They just stopped having sex as soon as you were born...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mommy, do you need a wife to come over and make you a nice dinner? Or maybe a mani/pedi day this weekend?

I thought you had embraced the "you act like a guy" thing? no.

p.s. remember all the nice things I do

Thanks, msbelle! Bob's mom was also visiting this weekend so I got some reheated homemade meals and some ones frozen for later. And a fridge full of Italian delicacies. Let's do Bloomie soon though.

I thought you had embraced the "you act like a guy" thing? no.

Rather, I have come to accept the fact that society's gender expectations are narrower than I can cleave to.

I don't mind being Daddy--I hear the pimp hats are more splendid.
