Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I actually didn't hate Jason Priestly. I started watching after he joined, and kind of appreciated having something approaching ongoing tension. Unfortunately, he didn't make enough of a difference.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lord knows why I can stand the stunt casting of Carmen Electra and yet be so repelled by Jason.

Probably linger feelings of 90210 shame.

Completely Eliza-less post follows:

Netflix just recommended Wonderfalls to me because of my following ratings:

  • Infernal Affairs *****
  • Firefly *****
  • The Tick: The Entire Series ***

Maybe there is something to this crazy recommendation software after all.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I hate dogs but I like the reamworks logo. Go figure.

ETA: Wonderfalls started in the UK last night on Murdoch's Sky network.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I actually didn't hate Jason Priestly. I started watching after he joined, and kind of appreciated having something approaching ongoing tension. Unfortunately, he didn't make enough of a difference.

He added a better sense of mythology to the show, and you're right, some actual ongoing tension. The second season was shaping up to be pretty good, really. There were plot arcs! More than one, even! Intertwining!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I didn't like the addition of Jason Priestly, because I kept getting taken out of the story by thinking how they were ripping off Quantum Leap.

Hey. New board.

I've left the air conditioned comfort of my room for the hot TV lounge, for my first ever East Coast watch and post!
