I'm sure I read that Marti Noxon had written a script for a Big Film with a Big Director, but I could be making it up. Must go and check SFX again.
Yeah the big director is Sam Raimi. There's a Whedonesque thread about it here. The Sci Fi Wire article it links to doesn't appear to be there anymore.

A little late, but.... Kristen is correct, Jane's recent career path has been Gilmore Girls (1 year); Tru Calling (cancelled before her ep aired); The Inside; and now Jake in Progress (she's writing ep 8). She also has an essay in the new Pride and Prejudice anthology (forget the title at the moment, it was edited by Jennifer Crusie).
