Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Yay Kristen! Now I'll keep thinking good thoughts for the final outcome.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Have I said "Yay Kristen"?

No?

Well then, Yay Kristen!

What is even happening?

I normally hate waiting, but just that such a big deal went so well is an accomplishment itself, so I'm looking at this as a celebration phase. This is so great to read, Kristen. I'm so glad for you.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Whoot! Adding to the chorus of "yay Kristen!"s.

Keeping fingers and toes x-ed, metaphorically if not otherwise. Sounds like it was a win scenario no matter what the specific outcome of this.

Thanks again to everyone!

And Cindy, normally, I hate waiting too. I am an incredibly impatient person. But, with this, it's such a relief to be done. I mean, there's nothing else I can possibly do so I'm enjoying being done.

Of course, I do predict that I will totally freak out on the plane on Friday because I won't have voicemail access for five hours.

Oh! And I completely forgot. I got a souvenir pen. Which, given the Lloyd Dobler reference I made in my Disney bio, is either a bad omen or just really freaking funny.

That's good, Kristen. I also think it's good that they noted your work was dark. I think it will make you stand out.

Ha! I choose funny.

I'm going with funny too.

In other news, not the greatest pictures ever but:

yoyo as a coffee table.

yoyo as a dining table.

I could also take pictures with the leaf in but that would be more work.

ETA: The table is, in fact, fully adjustable in height, so I could have any height in between too!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Gorgeous table-and the architectural lines of it look terrific with your rug!

It's hard to type, what with all my fingers crossed for you!

Kristen, that's a lovely table. How many will it sit as a dining table with the leaf in? It looks fantastic with the couch and rug. My brother is moving to the UK and will need new furniture, but will be in a small flat so that may be just the ticket for him.

EtA: Woo hoo on the interview too. They went for the funny with the pen, really!

I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

It's clearly a sign from the Hollywood liberal cabal, Cusack being a well-known leftie pinko Comm symp.

(Sorry, just getting a little nostalgic for Tim's occasional rants since he doesn't visit much anymore.)
