Gorgeous table-and the architectural lines of it look terrific with your rug!
It's hard to type, what with all my fingers crossed for you!
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Kristen, that's a lovely table. How many will it sit as a dining table with the leaf in? It looks fantastic with the couch and rug. My brother is moving to the UK and will need new furniture, but will be in a small flat so that may be just the ticket for him.
EtA: Woo hoo on the interview too. They went for the funny with the pen, really!
Which, given the Lloyd Dobler reference I made in my Disney bio, is either a bad omen or just really freaking funny.
It's clearly a sign from the Hollywood liberal cabal, Cusack being a well-known leftie pinko Comm symp.
(Sorry, just getting a little nostalgic for Tim's occasional rants since he doesn't visit much anymore.)

Thanks! The place is finally starting to look...finished. Which is something I'm not sure I know how to handle.

I'm not sure. I think you could squeeze 8 with the leaf in but it would probably be tight. I know you can do six comfortably.
It's made by Ligne Roset, which is a European company. They have several options on the yoyo table and also another table, which is similar, called the Crescendo. I won't lie, it was pricey. But I though it was worth the investment since it's really two pieces of furniture in one. Also, it might be cheaper when it doesn't need to be shipped across the Atlantic Ocean and then carted across the country.

Perfect! I'll send him the link (I think that either the Crescendo or the YoYo would work) His flat is tiny but he's a single guy who likes to entertain. He needs something that does double duty. These look just like what he needs plus they are really attractive. Thanks! (I'll warn him about the cost but I get the feeling that this move has netted him a lot of extra pay so it may be no biggie)
It's also very well made. I did find a cheaper version of the crescendo here in LA but, when I went to look at, it was awful. It was shaky and poorly made and the top was a low quality laminate that chipped easily.
I'm so excited that I have people over for dinner now. I just have the one room so guests have always had to balance plates on their laps or sit on the floor around the coffee table. But now I can have, like, a dinner party.
Such a cute table!

This is key, he's gonna be over there for 2 to 4 years and he's selling his solid oak dining set that's here, so it'll need to last.
I've only had it for a day but it feels really sturdy. The gas lift works smoothly and plus? Looks. Cool.
Now I just need to get cracking and make a decision on the Wall Bed Issue.
Love the table. And the flowers on it are beautimus. Lovely, inexpensive cut flowers were one of my favorite things when I lived in CA.
