I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

So it's either gonna be a very merry christmas or a really depressing one.

First, congrats because it sounds like it went well. Second, I second David's idea about good connections being made. Committee decisions are notoriously wonky because the uniqueness that causes a strong positive reaction can just as easily turn off someone else and committees by definition need to accommodate all the reactions somehow, & one way of doing that is gravitating toward the mean and staying away from the margins, even if that means not going for something half of the committe thought dusted everything else. BUT it's not all about Disney. If you get it fantabulous; if not you've still met and impressed rainmakers and/or those who have the ears of rainmakers so something great will result. Ergo it will be a GREAT Xmas either way. QED.

Congrats again & sorry 'bout the longwindedness.

Thanks Perkins!

And thanks, joe! Someone did make a comment during the meeting that seemed somewhat promising, regardless of the fellowship outcome. So if this door closes, I'll just find another one to open.

I won't lie. If I don't win this, I am totally going to cry my little eyes out. But then I'll get over it and go back to working on my next spec.

I think it's gonna be dark.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm back! I think it went well. Oddly enough, it was kind of fun.
Whoooo!
I think it's gonna be dark.
Also good.

Thanks! Thanks!

I am totally abusing exclamation points but I don't care! I'm so incredibly relieved that it's all over. There's nothing more I can do at this point but wait. It is what it is.

And now I am off to celebrate with cheesy goodness!

I can't write like you can, Kristen, but can I ever abuse those quotation marks!

Go, Kristen! It sounds like today went very well. I hope you get good news soon.

Yay! So happy for you that it went well. It must have been so cool. Continuing to think the good thoughts and send them westward.
