Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I'm in the UK and we obviously don't have The Inside on tv yet (let alone Lost) so obviously i ain't seen it.. (covering legal arse) < /sarcasm >

it is such a good show.. why do fox insist on screwing around with stuff.. it winds me up..

one plan.. we all chip together, and have quality tv shows on open access channels, and eventually (in 94years and 5months time) we'll be beating fox... yaaaaaah!

ok.. i'm going off an a weird tangent there so i'll shut up

I may have to seize the cat.

The word "descommentisados" just popped into my head. Must. Scrub. Brain.

P-C, this is why I proposed a format other than/in addition to podcast - ogg or mp3 or whathaveyou. Because THAT could be turned into an audio CD, and CD players are significantly cheaper than iPods.

Friends don't let friends dismiss Veronica Mars unjustly.

it's been so long since I wrote for Buffy anyway.

Snerk! I'm used to us plebeians making that joke but it's 30% funnier from Tim.

But I don't have an iPod either!

Um, turn the volume on the TV way up, and the volume on the PC way up, and sit halfway between them. Problem solved!

On the UK TV thing, I know my first exposure was when I checked out "The Office" on DVD. The "first series" and "second series" were each 6 episodes, and then they also made a 2-episode special.

I was initially perturbed, but (at least for The Office) it actually ended up working really well. It would have gotten stale with 22 episodes, and they tied up everything neatly with their 14, so I wasn't too hungry for more when it was done. It's an amazingly different approach from US TV, though.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Lost is getting CINEMA ADVERTS before WAR OF THE WORLDS in the UK at the moment. Specially shot adverts. With the cast.

Channel 4 are airing it.

They won't fund my original drama, though.

Kevin.. I really can't think of anything UK based that I actually watched apart from Dr Who.. (which cost around 26500 tv licence fees!)

Shameless on C4 is a good example of something lasting (however i don't watch it cos i don't think it is that good), but we really don't make our own good quality tv... it is a shame really IMHO (i'm not really that humble though)

I've just had more bad launches than the space shuttle program. And re-entry is a bitch.

OK, this made me laugh and laugh and laugh, in a really dark way. Because see, I might get laid off this week related to this very problem (and a few others. But this took a big bite.)

Mister Tim has that effect. The laughter, that is. Not crashes.

a format other than/in addition to podcast

Well, most podcasts I've been exposed to are nothing more than downloadable MP3s. The thing that makes them "podcasts" is an RSS feed you can subscribe to that delivers new episodes as they're recorded.

"Podcast" by itself doesn't really imply any particular format.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

People are offering me condolences.

I do feel like the show's Auntie Allyson. I didn't have anything to do with it, but I have a ton of wallet sized photos and took it out for ice cream and M&Ms a whole lot.
