the question is, did said person name Buffy?
The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Nope. They named all his credits correctly and in the right order. They even included The Inside.
wow.
do they happen to know you run his official site? or was this just really, really random that his name came up?
I don't think any of them know about the site. It never came up. I'm pretty sure it started with talking about the Expo and I asked G (someone I knew from before the class) if she was going to Tim's thing on Friday. And then someone else said, "Tim? Tim Minear?" And we were off and running with the Tim love.

Oh, I love the randomness of the world and the "you can't know whom you're going to meet where".
If it's OK to ask, what is that "Tim's thing on Friday"? Sorry if it's been mentioned before - I'm large with the skipping-and-skimming.

Ooh! I get such frisson of delight when Nilly gets all idiomatic.
Tim is teaching a class at the Screenwriters Expo, Nilly.

Yay! I'm just pleased when I manage to use them properly, and delighted when they seem to not sound like a fake accent.

Thanks. And, oh, that sounds like something I would love to attend (had it not been for that ocean and the probably during-shabbat and, well, the complete impossibility), and I don't even know anything about screenwriting. I'm glad you ladies are going to attend, though.

The way you type your Rs is a dead giveaway, but the accent adds to your appeal. (And I was only being a smartass up to the comma.)

Thanks, joe. Um, I think.

Also, you can ask the Buffistas I was lucky enough to meet last year regarding how I type my Rs.
