Do we have to pay him back pay for his posts here? cause I am not sure we have enough in the funds.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I say we count those as his investments in the board.
Maybe we should charge people to read them?
Aw, Burrell. I heart my agent. I'm waiting for word from 2 more publishers and then I guess the second round starts. It still doesn't keep me from being horribly depressed about it all.
cheer me up for getting an avalanche of rejections from publishers.
This boggles the mind. Can they not read? Silly publishers. Of course, the one that "discovers" you will be brilliant and lucky beyond all reason. Then Tim will wonder if he can afford you.
Perhaps that last line was a bit much? I was completely sincere until that point.
So far, no plans for "The Inside" DVDs, alas. Which I think sucks ass. At least Marti got "Point Pleasant" out there. Good for her, I say.
Just got a call from William Mapother who just saw his ep -- the house-bound serial killer. He thanked me for giving him such a "fun" and odd character to play. He's really good in it. It's nice to get the real gratitude. Sigh.
On an up note, as a few here know, I finally finished my draft of "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress," and the response has been exceedingly strong. What's more, I kinda think I knocked it out of the park. To the moon, Alice. (Remember when wife beating was funny? that's for another thread.) So that's good. If that gets made, for SURE there'll be a DVD. I have, I think, less than a year on my current deal with 20th. Maybe I should not extend it and go do movies.

Whatever lets you stay truest to your artistic vision. Though I must confess I'll be selfishly sad if I only get two hours of your work every other year rather than a season—or part of one—of great television every year. The writing you do with the character development and the pain and the glavin is so enjoyable to watch unfold over time.

Isn't there wife-beating in soap operas? It's totally on-topic.

But not the funny kind.
Allyson, someday I'm going to be saying I knew you when. Seriously.
