Holding my tongue on the Moon remarks, because you have all enjoyed my "novels are more fun to read than macroeconomics lectures" rant.
And Hem's Cradle Song at the end?
OMG! I have seen Hem in concert, and hung out with them after. A friend of mine runs their website! I am thisclose to all manner of fame now.
(They are the only band I have seen who can play without any drummer at all. I asked, and they do have a drummer sometimes, just not on this particular performance date. They were just back from Britain -- and Ireland? I disremember -- and were very tired.)
"novels are more fun to read than macroeconomics lectures"
Yes, but history is more fun than novels, at least if you pick the right history.
Well, we can't all be Thomas Carlyle, but it's worth aspiring to.
(I am sure there are economists who are rousing lecturers too, but I don't know their names.)
Nutty, I love Hem. I've seen them live twice in Dublin; the last time was probably the tour they'd just come back from when you saw them. I think they'd just released Eveningland? Great, great band.
I have not read any Nutty "novels are more fun to read than macroeconomics lectures" rants.
I should, though. The title is enticing.
I am listening to "I Wonder Why the Wonderfalls."
Why is there no more show? Waaaaaaah.
Why is there no more show? Waaaaaaah.
Let's not play the blame game.
Sorry. I
hate
that phrase. So I try to cope by overusing it.
Jars! I know they have released Eveningland in the US, because I have it. I don't know about releases overseas (or is there a region difference thing in records the way there is in DVDs?)
because I have it.
Oh, me too. I meant that the tour was for the release of Eveningland. I couldn't rememberise a timeframe more than that. And I think sometimes there's a region difference? I have European and US versions of some albums.
Also, have you watched Aidan? Because, perfect song.
I'm pretty sure my mother told me about it when I was pretty young, but I did not see it at first. A nice thing about the stories though, is that they're still lovely stories, whether the religious ideas they can reference mean anything to you, or not.
This is me. It looks like they're doing a pretty good job with the movie. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully it will take the place of LotR for holiday viewing (I hope that they're doing the series. Mushing together is just no good.)
Also, have you watched Aidan? Because, perfect song.
Enough with the taunting already. Have some pity upon us poor DVD-less folks! Or, taunt all you want, but send us DVDs.
