I had a whole section about civic pride.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"Don' be e-scared"

Well, the short answer, really Kristen, is that I have one idea so sometimes it seems like an "echo" when it's really just hackenstein repetition. Anyone who examines the plots of the 13 episodes of "Wonderfalls" will know this to be true. They're all basically the same plot.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I rediscovered them with this new Dick Cavett rock icons set.

Mmm, we were just talking about that in the Music thread. I've seen some video clips of Sly & the Family Stone (not the Woodstock ones) that are just unbelievably powerful. That band was a fuckin' freight train. Plus, of course, cute girl cousin on trumpet. "Cynthia and Jerry got a message they're sayin'..."

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Reaganomics?

Ah. Trickle down pigments.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Those subplots and non-plot details make all the difference.

I'm musically ignorant.

I thought Kristen taught you all about N'Sync.

Like she said, she's musically ignorant.

Swouncing

with that one, I really had to do through it the way the audience would to make it track.

Wasn't the final version different in order than the script, though?

I'm musically ignorant.

I'm musically ingnoraner.

Tim, a cables channel that Israel gets from somewhere around Asia or India (I think) is showing "Wonderfalls". They're up to the third episode or something like that. The thing is, they're censuring a lot, so most of Sharon's story is, well, not so coherent. Or so I've heard - I don't have cables to check myself. [Edit: and people seem to like the show]

Meow. Let me tell you, Eagles fans shouldn't go casting stones in the glass house of pop.

You know, you can say the same about most other television shows. Good and bad.
