[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Ooh, good choice.

Of course, your beagle may vary.
My family's beagle is adorable but SO VIOLENT. It's sad, I think she's cuter when she's sick. But I've always liked children better when they're sleeping, and felt that way about my cat, too. Maybe that's why he ran away.
The BF says his problem with Wonderfalls was that Jaye was too unlikeable but I liked her a lot - but then I am frequently a snarky bitch as well.
This was true of my boyf and myself as well. He thought Jaye was mean, I thought she was funny. I saw the inner marshmallow, I think, and he didn't.
Most people watching the show have no idea who I am
I have to say, I found that shout-out VERY exciting and cool.
Aaaand... episode 5. Boy, this voodoo magic sure is handy for catching up on good TV shows.
Who the hell is it that Kristen Bell reminds me of? I can't figure it out.
edited to spell her name right
Come to think of it, I think she reminds me of SMG. At least with certain haircuts. That seems a little sad that I couldn't place it.
Jaye and Veronica both hooked me from the second they were on screen. Jaye moreso, but Veronica has my love now, and we'll never know how it would've worked if it was an even battlefield.
Now I have thoughts of Jaye and Veronica having a fight. A sexy fight.
I was disappointed with the first The Inside, but that was probably more about expectations than anything else. It improves each week, I was all aboard the way RN played Rebecca though, never saw what the problem was. I find myself looking forward to the next epsiode, which is all you can ask for really.
ION: *whisper it* I kinda liked the pilot of Bones.
Can someone ask Tim tonite, assuming that he shows up as before, whether or not any Inside folks are going to San Diego ComicCon...?
hate and fear zombies
I was beginning to think i was alone in this. i don't know why they frighten me as much as they do...
"I would put my pilot out on the internet in a heartbeat. Want five more? Come buy the boxed set."
ha!! exactly, John Rogers. exactly.
Not to be too OT but I love VM to death and would have a million of its babies. Last fall Lost and VM were neck and neck in terms of my investment, and over the season Lost ended up in the "barely watchable" category while VM became app't tv.
once again, you are me. i was furious with Lost's "finale". still am, actually. i wasn't thrilled with VM's finale, but i at least didn't feel like the 22 hours of my life i'd spent watching the show were for naught.
Rah rah! VM is great! I'm an idiot for not listening to the forty-seven thousand people who told me that earlier!
I love it when people find the love. wheeee!!
Aaaaand I'm starting ep 4 rather than go to bed.
that is probably one of my favorite eps because of how we get to see the fab four before Lilly's death.
Who the hell is it that Kristen Bell reminds me of?
there are certain flashback shots of her that remind me of Evan Rachel Wood.
Jaye and Veronica both hooked me from the second they were on screen. Jaye moreso, but Veronica has my love now, and we'll never know how it would've worked if it was an even battlefield.
i've definitely compared my love for VM to the love i had for Wonderfalls. Jaye had my heart from the get go. as does Veronica. mostly? you really can't go wrong with the snark in my book.
But...how does sticking the title "Once More with Feeling" in the background without ever calling attention to it (or, you know, using blue gloves or naming a cat Angel) make a show more obscure? The shout-outs are entirely superfluous; they go right over the heads of those who aren't looking for them. I don't see what the Big Evil is, and how it affects executives at all.
See these are all background texture if you don't get the shout out. The only one I could remotely argue as affecting Fox one way or the other is the "OMwF" poster, because you've got that in the background instead of something that could shill product for Fox. But that's "not helping", rather than "hurting", and I probably just put more thought into it than the writers, producers or the network.
Now I have thoughts of Jaye and Veronica having a fight. A sexy fight.
See, I imagine them drag racing their huge boat-cars.
I was beginning to think i was alone in this. i don't know why they frighten me as much as they do...
I think zombies are comedy gold. COMEDY GOLD! I think there should've been a tiny ZOMBIE that talked to Jaye. It would be leaving body parts all over, and she'd have to pick them up and re-attach them with hot glue, and it could say, "OW!" every time she did... Of course, I guess a zombie wouldn't give very good advice. "BRAINNNNNNS!" "What? Eat Gretchen Speck's Brains?" I can also imagine Jaye with a bit of brain in her mouth, trying to explain to her family... "The tiny zombie made me do it!"
i was furious with Lost's "finale". still am, actually. i wasn't thrilled with VM's finale, but i at least didn't feel like the 22 hours of my life i'd spent watching the show were for naught.
That's 22 hours of my life I'll never see again. I tried so hard to like that show. I mean, I REALLY worked at it, despite being bored 10 minutes into the pilot. But the love never came, and I remain indifferent towards most of the characters. I think the cast is too large.
Now The Inside, that has a nice small ensemble cast.
Drag racing their huge sexy boat-cars!
Zombies are fun! Just ask Terry Pratchett.
