And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

If I only had a brain...

Hmm. It was next to the Ralph Lauren store, so possibly.

But it's historical bestiality! It's meaningful!

17th c. bestiality: sex and death two distinct parts of the process. 21st c. bestiality: one-stop shopping for sex and death. That's Progress with a capital P.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's Progress with a capital P.

Not to mention Peritonitis.

What's that R&G are Dead line about "we can give you blood and sex"?

Huh. I just flashed on The Aristocrats. I have no idea why it took so long...

"Don' be e-scared"

I really meant first American political sex scandal. I'm aware of scarlet letters and such from earlier times. So stop oppressing me. Speaking of, also interesting is David Hackett Fischer's "Albion's Seed."

Narrator's right about the funny clothes and wigs being a thing. Though I understand HBO is doing "John Adams." So maybe some multi-part cable thing could work.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My agency tells me there's no market for American history in entertainment.

Didn't Matt and Ben do a TV thing of Zinn's People's History? How'd that go?

I think Tim's next Libertarian fiction adaptation should be Elvis Shrugged. I think it's out of print, but it's not hard to find & it's completely excellent. (ETA: Aslan Shrugged. Haven't read it, but I'm sure it will be popular here.)

And Christina Hendricks should be in it. Or whatever Tim's next project is. 'Cause I'm just mad about Saffron.

What is even happening?

Hee!

Didn't Matt and Ben do a TV thing of Zinn's People's History? How'd that go?

Did they? I remember they gave it a shout out in GWH. I have a copy sitting on my bookshelf, of course, I think it's my Massachusetts proof of residency.

Oh, your poor eyes. Yes, enough with this sex! Bring on some violence!!

Bless you, Narrator.

I may have to seize the cat.

What's that R&G are Dead line about "we can give you blood and sex"?

We can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, or blood and rhetoric without the love, or all three (I forget what goes here), but we can't do love and rhetoric without the blood. (Some line about blood being important.)
