Michael is a demon seed. i'm convinced of it.
Cruz and Eden. Santa Barbara, right? my mom watched that one. i remember it. just barely. A Martinez came to GH for a little while. absolutely hated his character.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I just found out about Dixie! (I do love Tad, though, he is hilarious.)
Honest yo dog I found out that Dixie married Adam from a book I read for a media studies class. It had a pictorial and everything.
A Martinez came to GH for a little while.
He was Bobbie's back from the dead long lost love, right?
I loved A on SB. He was an excellent cryer.
I am so loving the DOOL flashbacks. And Tim, love his stuff.
back from the deadRoy DiLucca... I loved that they showed the honest to god flashbacks when they brought this character back. Totally different actor, sure, we know that, but dammit those flashbacks were real.
The things I know about GH make me sad. Because I could have learned so many other things instead. Like how to judge distance. Instead I know the family histories of people who don't really exist.
He was Bobbie's back from the dead long lost love, right?
yeah. he's been in the witness protection program. yada yada yada. then they paired him with Felicia and i wanted to yak.
And Erica Caine was only like on husband number 2 or 3, Mike the adventurer I think.
Actually, husband no. 2 was Phil Brent (once upon a time, played by BSG’s Richard Hatch, but by the time Erica married Phil, Hatch had already moved onto "Streets of San Francisco"), and no. 3 was Tom Cudahy. Adam Chandler was no. 4, and Mike Roy was nos. 5 & 6…but they weren’t legal.
ETA: Okay, as best as I can remember it...
Erica Kane Martin Brent Cudahy Chandler Roy Roy (but they weren't legal) Montgomery Montgomery (but, thanks to Adam sending Stuart in his place to divorce Erica, the two marriages to Travis aren't legal, either) Chandler (Adam blackmailed her back into marriage w/ the knowledge that Bianca was actually illegitimate) Marick Marick Montgomery.
and he and Caroline Brady are stuck on some island.
Heh. What would DAYS be w/out someone, or a group of someones, getting stuck on an island? "Cruise of Deception," anyone?
The girl that got drunk was, I think, Terri, who was maybe Bobbi's step-daughter, or daughter of one of Bobbi's boyfriends, but I disremember who--maybe one who was killed by the mob.
Terri Brock was Bobbie’s stepdaughter from her marriage to abusive D.L. Brock (played by the guy who married Rhoda on, well, “Rhoda”). I don’t remember much about Terri, except she was played by Crystal Bernard’s sister (and I remembered CB from “It’s a Living” back then, not “Wings”), and Shaun Cassidy played her brainwashed love interest...and that someone plotted to blow up Mount Rushmore during one of Terri’s performances.
ETA: Dusty. Shaun's character's name was Dusty Walker. Any wonder why I flunked college algebra?
That was a crazy storyline with Bobbi and Terri and the stuff from their past - there were the two brothers from etheir hometown and one of them murdered someone - somehow they tied in with Lucy COE (I remembered).
Oh, you’re talking about the O’Connor boys (a story which, btw, was penned by “Passions”’s James E. Reilly). That story went on for months! Pure agony.
On the soap she hooked up with a skeevy-guy-with-a-heart-of-gold-sort-of-eventually named Nick?
Yep, Eve Donovan (Charlotte Ross) hooked up for a time w/ Nick Corelli (you know, when he wasn’t pimping her?); but if Nick’s heart was made of gold, it must’ve been 14 karat, because he wound up getting murdered (by Emilio Ramirez, I think) one Halloween night.
But who was her mother? It was like Shane's presumed dead first wife who was also an ISA agent or something?
Right. Gabrielle Pascal, played by “Blue Car” director Karen Moncrieff.
Well I don't know how old she was at the time (mid 1971) but I think that she was just a baby then too.
Jennifer Horton (DAYS) couldn’t have been born in ’71, because Laura was still married to Mickey…and still keeping it secret that Michael wasn’t his son.
the stuff I am remembering from AMC was a B storyline about Nina Cortland's mother being in town, but unknown to Palmer Cortland.
OMG, Daisy Cortlandt! Remember when she came to Pine Valley as Monique Jonvil, and befriended Nina (who didn’t know she was her mother)? And how she was finally unmasked (by Palmer) at the masquerade ball at Cortlandt Manor? And Palmer (and his Doberman pinchers) then chased her into the barn? I (heart)ed that story.
Cruz and Eden - now there was a couple.
This Mason and Julia fan will pretend you never said that.
By any chance, are there any other "Guiding Light" fans in attendance? QUOLAHOLICS UNITE.
Mason and Julia were fab. Actually, one of my favorites. Snarky.
I had such high hopes when Lane and Nancy were reunited on GH. Sadly, I don't think GH knew what to do with them.
Oh, I know. Tragic waste, that. I mean, they had to know, right? I just assumed that's why they brought him on, and then... eh. Fizzle. They don't really seem to know what to do with Alexis, which is a damn shame. At least they're smart enough to hold on to her.
