I was too afraid to ever post in the Angel forum at MBTV/TWoP.
And you weren't afraid to post in the Buffy forum? I'm sure that's not uncommon, but I still think it's funny. I guess it might depend on when you were looking; I think the Angel boards got comfy about the time that the Buffy boards were splitting into warring tribes.
In Tim's first post over there he claimed to be scared of me, which was very kind of him. And look, I finally got back to the topic!
Or else maybe a show about a group of people who hang out on an internet message board and fight crime in their spare time.
"Watch them as they battle clinical depression... and CRIME."
It shows our diversity...
Given the numbers tommyrot just mentioned in Natter, it's more like "Watch them as they battle crime and talk about cats."
"Watch them as they battle clinical depression... and CRIME."
I'm not so sure we battle it, so much as encourage and entertain it--depression, that is--well actually, both.

The warring tribes were the 'shippers, yes? I probably never got over Angel forum fear because I never did get comfortable at the Buffy forum, and so I never even got to the point where I was ready to delurk at the Angel forum. I read the Angel recaps for longer, though.

Pro- and anti-Spike, essentially.
I suppose this is the good thing about selling Firefly, Wonderfalls, and The Inside to FOX and seeing them mismanaged and cancelled. When someone like NBC starts pursuing you, you can just think "Well, how could it be any worse than FOX?"
It's TV evolution -- the harsh FOX environment has caused the Minearum beaglii to adapt by only producing the best quality content. Even here where nothing survives, the M. beaglii can nurture a cult following ready to defend it from predators. Some scientists theorize that if the M. beaglii can ever form a succesful symbiotic relationship with an intelligent Marketerium networkus, it could attract and sustain a vast viewing population. Sadly, M. networkus specimens seem to be almost universally stupid, particularly in the FOX environment where constant interaction with short-lived yet powerful Realitus giganticus organisms has warped their worldview.

The good thing about NBC is that they seem to
realize
they're in a period of rebuilding. And, hopefully, that knowledge means they'll give new shows some time to grow.
FOX doesn't seem aware that they need to rebuild. Or, if they are aware, they have a really bizarre plan.
Which network had Eyes, again?
NBC may not be such a bad place for a new Tim show. They don't have anywhere near the history of short-shrifting shows that Fox does. If anything, they tend to support quality programming even when they don't make the ratings. I.e. H:LOTS, Scrubs, Seinfeld, etc. In the drama category their upcoming shows aren't getting good buzz (Surface, Inconceivable, Three Wishes), and I think they finally hit bottom this year in ratings among the big 4 networks. The only solid genre show they have now is Medium which would be a good match with any Tim show.
Of course next to the abusive boyfriend FOX, any network looks rosier.
