Willow: Yes. Hi. You must be Angel's handsome, yet androgynous, son. Connor: It's Connor. Willow: And the sneer's genetic. Who knew?

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Even with RN, I just don't think I can watch Alias. I'm all sorts of happy for her, though.

Now, if they got AB, I might just have to break a rule.

Art Crawl!!!

Apparently, there's a marathon on Lifetime this weekend of some mystery show that co-stars SpyDaddy.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Puh-lease

WTF? All I meant was sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. You, of all people, should know that.

I am not, saying that one should ignore the creator(s) when they say it's time to throw in the towel. Just that it's not always hopeless.

Just that it's not always hopeless.

Once you release your actors? Yes, sadly, it is pretty hopeless.

But I'm still going to be angry with FOX for ending The Inside...

You know, for some strange reason I'm not really angry with FOX over the cancellation. Not that TI was any worse a show than FF, WF, Action, Tick, Profit, etc. I really did love it a lot. It's just that at this point FOX is so, damn, predictable. Like an abusive boyfriend, you hope the next time it really will be different, but, alas, nothing ever changes.

I do remain pissed at the viewing public who prefer Surreal Celebs Dancing to quality programming. Who would have ever believed that FOX, who practically created the whole reality craze, would end up choking on it?

Sigh.

Not talking about now. Talking about in general. Note I said when the creator says it's done, it's done.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

WTF?

I was talking about Angel. You were talking about Firefly. Hence my whatEv.

DVDs were always a given, with Firefly, it was promised the day Gail called to cancel, you know? And the flick was Universal wooing Joss from 20th.

So I'm unsure what your IJS meant. You told me? Zing? What?

Because the "noise" had nothing to do with Serenity. Or Firefly DVDs. And it wasn't going to bring back Angel.

Me, of all people, know that.

As an aside, however, if Serenity is successful at all, it's due to fan efforts. Universal's marketing plan seems to be all about the pyramid scheme of fan devotion.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just feel bad for them if they try this bazillion preview screenings tactic on some film whose creator doesn't have a cultishly devoted fan base of tens of thousands of viewers. I don't see this kind of advance turnout happening for the next big movie whose main selling point is Will Farrell shouting a lot and publicly wetting himself.
