Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Friends don't let friends dismiss Veronica Mars unjustly.

I'm not sure what factors my brain latches onto when deciding whether to like a show or not -- certainly I appreciate a sense of mystery, clear questions being presented (like LOST). I know I like good writing with clever turns of phrase. Good actors are of course, helpful. But there's something I can't quite place that causes me to dismiss many shows and latch onto the ones I really like.

With The Inside, I think the main thing that grabbed me is Web. I don't have a ton of attachment to Rebecca or her issues right now, but I'm fascinated by Web's actions and how he runs his team. With all of the attending questions like "How does he get away with this?" and "How'd he get to this position?" and such. Without Web, I'd be much less interested in the show.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

900lb cannibal pics

I so can't wait for this episode. William does creepy too well.

I'd be delighted if the 900lb guy was named Balthazar and waved his arms (from the elbows down, of course) yelling, "Unacceptable! Unacceptable!" But I'm easy that way.

BWAH! i'd love this too. i'm wonderin how exactly a 900 lb person is mobile enough to be a serial killer, but i guess i'll find out.

I'm more excited about seeing the next Veronica Mars re-run (I didn't watch it so it's new to me.)

is it bad that i've seen the episodes multitudes of times and i'm still more excited by VM? i like The Inside. quite a bit, actually. but, i have a feeling i wouldn't like it half as much if i didn't know the work of people involved. i trust where they are going to take me with these stories. i don't have that same kind of trust in someone like JJ Abrams.

also? so glad you're liking VM. i have pimped(and continue to pimp) that show like there's no tomorrow.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Veronica Mars does nothing for me at all

Also a first time watcher, loving the VM reruns. And I hate that they're skipping so many of them or at least it seems that way from the previouslies.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Veronica Mars does nothing for me at all

Me neither. I watched three or four eps, and then realized I had no interest in either the story or the characters.

Yeah, Wolfram, they went from episode 1 to episode 6 to episode 10, but I think they're getting to the point (episode 12) where the arc (well, one of many) kicks into high gear and they can't afford to skip any episodes. Soon, the rollercoaster will really begin.

Yeah, Wolfram, they went from episode 1 to episode 6 to episode 10...

Whaaaa? I thought I was just missing 2 or 3 episodes. I better get moving with the torrenting.

They're totally doing that so people buy the DVD set.

Which, of course, I will.

Hey. New board.

Different strokes, et al. I adore Veronica Mars. I might like The Inside more. I can't decide right now, because 3 vs 22 is too hard. I definitely like these Inside eps more than the first three VM eps, but the large plot-arc of VM makes that sort of thing kind of expectable, since it of course gets more interesting as the big mysteries become more important.

The Inside, much as I hate to express fears, still has the potential of getting stuck in its formula. Not that I think that's likely, but it could happen. With VM, I knew I'd always be at least a little interested as long as I could be promised solutions to the pilot-proposed mysteries, which of course meant I kept watching and eventually fell madly in love with the characters. All of them. The show no longer needs to offer me a big plot to keep me invested, because it has given me Scoobies, and I will always watch what they do.

Hopefully, I'll soon feel that way about The Inside. At the moment, my love is pretty much entirely for the concepts and the writing, not the characters as such: I find them interesting, but can't drunkenly talk about them as if they were family members, as I've been known to do for Veronica, Logan, Willow, Xander, Buffy, Giles, Angel, Fred, et cetera.
