[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So, talk about striking the sets...

I'm terribly sad about Sunnydale getting demolished. And then I also remembered, these are The Inside's sets amongst the rubble, really.

Sad. Gone now.

First time poster, so…be gentle.

(Actually, don’t be gentle. I hate gentleness. Gentleness is for losers.)

I have to say I enjoy “The Inside” more and more w/ each new episode. With the (recent) exception of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and the occasional “C.S.I.” rerun w/ Mama Largo, I’m not too familiar w/ procedurals, or how they work; but I like the dynamics between Web and Rebecca (the enigmatic student and her equally enigmatic (and, perhaps, dangerous) teacher), even if, until “Declawed,” I wondered how Web was supposed to fit into all this; and I ESPECIALLY like the dynamics between Melody and Danny (Mulder & Scully-meets-Nick & Nora…minus the highballs). Dump Paul (or, at least, kill off his wife, and give him an edge), and you’ve got the potential for a dark-but-good-dark show which straddles the lines between procedural drama and “Angel”-like melodrama.

Oh, that’s right, I forgot. The second season’s not happening.

if The Inside is renewed it's the end of God-fearing America as we know it!

As if “Being Bobby Brown” didn’t damn this country to Hell already.

Did no one mention Vertigo?

I hope not. Aside from “North by Northwest,” and some of the stuff he did for the Selznick Organization, I’m not a Hitchcock fan.

making the supervisor an evil fuck may be why you are having a wee small amount of trouble with the net.

Well, that, and no one’s getting voted out of the VCU at the end of each episode. Apparently, the majority of Americans (myself included…at least, until I’ve had about as much of Simon as I can stomach) dig shows where someone gets voted off each episode.

We also dig shows where has-beens struggle in vain for one last, humiliating (and I do mean humiliating) shot at glory. But, who am I to point fingers? I watch half of that crap, myself.

And it seems like everyone wants to know about Web's book.

Perhaps, you guys should start up some sort of “Virgil Webster Book Club.” Believe me, anything has to be better than what Oprah came up with!

The nail-biting was ewww

Oh, sweet Jesus, was it ever ewww. When it happened the first time, I think my scream matched the victim’s, decibel for decibel…

Then, I composed myself, and said, “Damn, that was brilliant.”

[Rachel Nichols]'s also not very much like Ethel Merman.

Well, color me disappointed. In fact, Tim, that was probably your number-one mistake, “Inside”-wise. Perhaps, instead of a twentysomething blonde w/ a killer wardrobe, the “New Girl in Town” should’ve been a sixty-ish yenta w/ an obnoxious singing voice? You know, “change it up a little”?

And if people are watching your thing and their expectation is "why isn't this like Buffy? Why isn't that actor playing it more like that other actor I was thinking of?" They sometimes don't seem to see the thing that actually IS there.

Exactly. That would be like expecting every new show that Lynn Marie Latham & Bernard Lechowick developed and produced to be exactly like “Homefront,” or even their work on “Knots Landing.” I come to the new shows, because I’m familiar w/ their previous work; but I also trust them enough to make THIS show succeed on its’ own merits.

Wow. A cult of five. We won't need much Kool Aid.

Especially if Thelma’s making it. Sorry, I was having a “Good Times” moment.

Your ideas for “I Never Wrote for Buffy” sound good, Topic!Cindy, but I don’t want anything to deter Tim from getting w/ Franklin & Waterman and writing that “High Tide” reunion movie I’ve been lighting candles for. It’s been, what, twenty-five years? I think I’ve suffered long enough.

Personally for me it was when baby Connor returned as teen Connor.

But, you see, I kinda liked that arc. Admittedly, I bowed out of "Angel" somewhere between the first and second seasons (though, there are some moments "in the meantime" which I remember), but hearing about the beginning of the arc got me to tune in again.

What can I say? I love a good soap opera.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Every once in a while, someone has to nag for info on this topic. Might as well be me.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I ESPECIALLY like the dynamics between Melody and Danny (Mulder & Scully-meets-Nick & Nora…minus the highballs).

Perfect description of the two! I would love to have an episode focusing on the two of them. One scripted by Ben Edlund would be nice.

Now I'm wondering what a funny ep of "The Inside" would be like.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Now I'm wondering what a funny ep of "The Inside" would be like.

Didn't Tim already answer that? What else could "The feel good, dead babie episode of the year" be?

I have two outlines that are funny eps of The Inside. Fic, I guess.

...Or Darin Morgan ("The X-Files," "Milennium"). I wasn't much of an "X-phile," but I always enjoyed the eps he wrote. Plus, I've been DYING to see him working again.

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

Darin Morgan

If television has put out something more delicate than Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, I haven't seen it.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

Hey, nice postage!
