Um, if Rick Santorum says something incredibly stupid and offensive, that's pretty much a "so what else is new?" story, huh?
OK, I'll post it anyway....
"Santorum Equates Sex With Rape As He Continues to Disparage Boston - Rick Santorum seems intent on pulling a kamikaze on his re-election bid next year. In today's Boston Globe, he hammers Boston as the cause for the Catholic Priest scandal again. ""The basic liberal attitude in that area . . . has an impact on people's behavior," Santorum told the Boston Globe yesterday. ''If you have a world view that I'm describing [about Boston] . . . that affirms alternative views of sexuality, that can lead to a lot of people taking it the wrong way. ... I was just saying that there's an attitude that is very open to sexual freedom that is more predominant" in Boston, Santorum said yesterday. Reminded that the sexual abuse occurred across the country, Santorum said that "at the time [in 2002], there was an indication that there was more of a problem there" in Boston."

Sheila's
freaking me out with the not telling Tommy about the
miscarriage
and all. Do you think that she thinks that he
will leave her if she knows that she isn't pregnant anymore
?
Okay, when have weddings gotten so damn out of hand, BEFORE the actual wedding. A good friend is getting married, I am in the wedding, I am proud and excited. or was. First, I discovered that the bridesmaids were expected to attend an event to sew their own skirts. I don't sew, nor do I want to spend a day sitting around watching other people sew. I said "give me the pattern, I'll have my seamstress do it". The bride says "well there isn't really a pattern", so she has to sew my skirt. As it happens, I am out of town for the "stitch and bitch", so it's fine.
THEN, I find out that the bride is having THREE showers, PLUS a "bachelorette" party. It is clear from the emails that i have been receiving that all of the bridesmaids are expected to help with "our" shower, which includes all of the female invitees to the wedding, which is SIXTY people. I just got an email this morning regarding the "bachelorette party", which is a wine tour that will cost $150 per person.
Is it just me, or is this over the top? I know that I am very sensistive about money these days because I just bought a goddamn house, but I'm looking at at LEAST $500 BEFORE I buy a gift!!
jesus. fucking Santorum. fucking fucktard.
I have no patience today.
Well, in good news, Santorum is behind in the polls for the next election.
Maybe, but he's still in the Senate now.
And election day is a long way off.

Um. That is craxxy. Also, my impression is that people in the wedding party do not need to buy a gift, 'cause of all the shower expenses etc. At least, that's what I've heard. I may not know so many insane-o bridezilla types though.
The pre wedding stuff? @@
And that's all I'll say about that.
Is it just me, or is this over the top?
Will you be expected to make your own individual wedding cupcakes, too? That seems like rather a lot of muchness there.
too much money. and really - the bride is telling the bridesmaids that " this is your shower" and the bachlorette thing - I'm confused.
Holy crap, Vortex, that is freaking insane. Damn.
