Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I want one of these...it's almost a scooter, but the metal goes around the meat, instead of the other way 'round. [link]
Ninety pct of DVR users skip TV ads.
I can't help but wonder...who are these strange 10-percenters? Ad execs?
Last year I got like zero slack for like three months. I've been doing nothing BUT slacking since Christmas. It's actually kind of depressing.
but the metal goes around the meat,
I am in love with this phrase.

I sometimes don't skip the ads, but that's because I'm not paying enough attention to know ads are on/am too lazy to bother.

I wonder what comprises most of the time? I certainly don't skip all the ads all the time, although it's very rare I watch all the ads for a show I'm not watching live.
In fact, maybe that's what the stat refers to. Though it seems very low.
Huh. I don't watch anything live since I got the DVR.
You know what would work for the advertisers? Encouraging the use of TiVos or DVRs with the capacity to watch two channels. Because if I'm recording something, I'm always looking to see if I'm missing something I could be watching at the same time. Hell, if I had the capacity to tape three things at once, I'd start taping two things and surf the third channel.
This does mean I end up watching with commercials the shows I don't care enough to tape, but skip commercials on the good shows.
I am Perkins wrt ad watching.
