Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want the second of those scooters.

It's a long month, you could do both!

Also, yay!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Scooters look like having too much of the danger of motorcycles without any of the fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, when I said "scooter," I meant the thing for disabled people.

Up with the sun

I think two hours is totally an underestimate. At my busiest job, I probably got an hour a day to slack. At most jobs, it's more like three or four.

I don't think many jobs actually take 40 hours a week -- they all take 25 or 30, and the rest of it is just killing time.

My father-in-law managed to get some pretty rotten injuries from a scooter crash back around Thanksgiving. The family is now debating what to do with said scooter.

(He's also looking for a good story to explain the scar, as if falling off a scooter at age 60 isn't enough of one.)
