Timelies, folks! Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We played tennis and then lay around the house. It was good.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Perkins, have fun at the movie! You'll be in my neighborhood (well, sort of), but I'll be in the city for the afternoon, bingeing on Buffy season 4. Hush! Wheeee!
There's a great neighborhood coffee shop right by the theater called Gaylords that has Double Rainbow ice cream. You should go there. t she says authoritatively
I'm off to walk the Beast, buy new dog food (because he's decided he doesn't like the stuff he's been eating for the last four years), and head into the city. Have a lovely day, all!
What theater and what time are you going?
The Piedmont, in Oakland, at 2:35.
I know it's a trek across the bridge for you all. I've made Sparky make it a few times, so I thought I'd drive over to her this time.
Just FYI, it is also playing at the Clay, on Fillmore, at these times 12:00, 2:15, 4:30, 7:00, 9:15.

eta: Hi Raquel!
Consuela, I'll mention Gaylords. Sparky mentioned Fentons' for ice cream, so I suspect food will be involved.
Oooh, Fenton's is also nice. It's more of a traditional old-school ice cream parlor. Gaylord's is definitely a coffeeshop.
I went over to Mom's and got a radio from her place and called her and gave her an update. Then when I came home the power was off. Unlike at Dad's the water isn't dependent on the electricty (and I have a gas water heater) so I was able to clean up a bit and take a nice shower.
It hasn't been raining really hard, but it's been really windy.
I skipped a bunch and didn't even namecheck, I am so lazy.
From Friday, I guess: If I could've gone anywhere this weekend, I would have gone to somewhere quiet with a swimming pool.
Everyone facing storms, be careful.
It occured to me earlier that I do actually have kind of a porch, so I just spent a while out on my fire escape, but now the sun has moved too far over to hit it. But now I'm thinking I should buy one of those little low beach chairs to use out there. And also on the beach, of course, but I don't actually go to the beach that much.
We can't actually use our big wonderful balconies too much because of the stray cats. I was mobbed by five of them this evening when I went out onto the back balcony. The front one that's a level up, and therefore cat-safe, has the awnings down against the sun, otherwise it stays about 80 degrees inside.
I just got back from feeding the landlord's cats. The scaredy-cat male has pried off the kickplate under one of the kitchen counters, and is under the cupboards down at the other end. The kickplate lying in the middle of the floor tipped me off...but then the kitty gave away his hiding place by mewing piteously at me to bring his people back.
Sheryl, that's awful. I hope...well, I hope good things for your friend and a rain of toads and boils and preferably justice on the assholes.
it is sweet that your folks are romantic
Yeah, it is. It doesn't freak me out (they've only been like this, oh, MY WHOLE LIFE,) but, well, I'm WAY the hell more private than they are about stuff like that.
My SIL is as bad, and my brother is private, like me. Family get togethers involve a lot of my brother and I exchanging oh dear glances. Did they really just say THAT?!
Time to get back to cleaning and laundry.
storm people keep safe.
and sheryl let your friend know that all your invisible frineds are horrified by what has happened to him. sending him strenght and peace.
and you all are jelous because we just had brunch with Perkins.
