What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Daredevil skateboarder Danny Way rolled down a massive ramp at nearly 50 mph and jumped across the Great Wall of China on Saturday, becoming the first person to clear the wall without motorized aid, an event sponsor said.

I think I need more coffee. I actually wondered for a minute when they built a Great Wall of China in LA.

JZ, you guys should come see the Penguin movie with us.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm going to the 2:50, so I'll either see you at the movie, or coming out of it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm going to the 2:50, so I'll either see you at the movie, or coming out of it.

Well, dammit. For one heart-fluttering second I thought you were in the Bay Area for the day, and I was going to POUNCE. Also, shake you for not telling anyone ahead of time, but mostly POUNCE.

Perkins, I'm up for it depending on how the skating plans shake out (I'm going to wait an hour out of respect for the Sundayness of today, then call Charlotte for plannage), and Hec is pondering. The penguin movie, you and Sparky are all big draws, but schlepping across the bridge and back, NSM. What theater and what time are you going?

move out and draw fire

Timelies, folks! Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We played tennis and then lay around the house. It was good.

Perkins, have fun at the movie! You'll be in my neighborhood (well, sort of), but I'll be in the city for the afternoon, bingeing on Buffy season 4. Hush! Wheeee!

There's a great neighborhood coffee shop right by the theater called Gaylords that has Double Rainbow ice cream. You should go there. t she says authoritatively

I'm off to walk the Beast, buy new dog food (because he's decided he doesn't like the stuff he's been eating for the last four years), and head into the city. Have a lovely day, all!

What theater and what time are you going?

The Piedmont, in Oakland, at 2:35.

I know it's a trek across the bridge for you all. I've made Sparky make it a few times, so I thought I'd drive over to her this time.

Just FYI, it is also playing at the Clay, on Fillmore, at these times 12:00, 2:15, 4:30, 7:00, 9:15.

eta: Hi Raquel!

Consuela, I'll mention Gaylords. Sparky mentioned Fentons' for ice cream, so I suspect food will be involved.

Oooh, Fenton's is also nice. It's more of a traditional old-school ice cream parlor. Gaylord's is definitely a coffeeshop.

Thrive to spite them

I went over to Mom's and got a radio from her place and called her and gave her an update. Then when I came home the power was off. Unlike at Dad's the water isn't dependent on the electricty (and I have a gas water heater) so I was able to clean up a bit and take a nice shower.

It hasn't been raining really hard, but it's been really windy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I skipped a bunch and didn't even namecheck, I am so lazy.

From Friday, I guess: If I could've gone anywhere this weekend, I would have gone to somewhere quiet with a swimming pool.

Everyone facing storms, be careful.
