It is 9:39 and I'm just barely awake here. Going back to sleep when I woke up at 6 seemed like a good idea at the time, and I do seem to be well-rested now, but now my body seems to be set on "sleep" mode!
In other news, I saw some fabulous program items at Readercon, hung with some really nice friends, and lucked into a dinner with Joe & Gay Haldeman. Off to a blessedly shorter day today!
I used to bealch my eyebrows with Jolen when my hair was much lighter, but I always figured it was a really bad idea. I was so happy to see them doing it on What Not To Wear!
I just saaw a butterfly in my backyard hovering in the wind - trying to get somewhere but not being able to. It's now on an Elephant Ear leaf with its wings spread flat. Seems like a good strategy.
I just realized I don't have a radio with batteries. I knew where one was before I moved but I don't think it got packed and moved. Or if it did I don' tknow where it is.
I'm trying to decide if I should go out and see if I can buy one real quick.
Oh, I think I did the same thing. Not going out, though. I've got flashlights and the laptops are charging up, that'll have to do.
I'd say yes, askye, unless it's too messy outside. I hope you don't need it, though. You can usually find battery-operated radios at places like Walgreens and Eckerds, which might be easier to get in and out of.
Look out, you guys! Scary Dennis.
Timelies all!
After I shower and dress I am going to go up to Mystery Loves Company
in Fells Point. Mmmm, books...
Look out, you guys!
What Jesse said (I can't have words of my own, due to my extensive not being here. Even right now, when you may think I'm the one typing this post? I'm not here).
[Edit: if I were here, I'd point out that 8*3=6*4 and what a nice skipping-and-crossing post # it is. And how fitting it is, with all my skipping in b.org lately. But I'm not, so I won't.]
a couple more blows to the head, and it'll be all smoothed out.
There's the thing -- I've had five or six concussions. None of them
in
the martial arts, and most of them preceded me starting the martial arts.
