Well, I'm up and FINALLY doing laundry, which I've put off for far too many days. I was afraid that the washers would be chugging away and I'd have to wait for them (there are only three for our complex), but they were all free (at 8:30 am on a Saturday--amazing!). So, I'm going to not only do the emergency loads in my basket, but all the others that have filled up my laundry bag as well. If I'm lucky, I'll be done by 11:00. Then, I'll be meeting a friend and her buddy and we're off to the Irish Fest and a Hothouse Flowers concert tonight! My first concert in more than 15 years, I think.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yay, Kathy! have a great time at the concert and enjoy coming home to clean laundry!
I got up at 6:00 to walk the dog and took her on a long walk which ended up at the Donut Shop. The BF will awake to a ham and cheese croissant (his favorite) as a treat. Nothing like having a nice surprise for one's lover up one's sleeve to put one in a great mood.
I have no lover, no dog, no croissant.
I think I'll try surfing instead.
Yeah, I meant to say "A present for one's lover, or, of course, surfing."
Oh, he is so, so, cute. I hope that baseball outfit says "Old Navy" on it, because dude, when I saw the pinstripes...
You thought "CUBBIES"!!!
Timelies all!
So, more packing for us today. Then we go to Reston Fest to see the Austin Lounge Lizards. Whee!
Reston, my home town! Where is the fest?
Theo! Did you get the "Tracy" I sent you?
Reston Towne Center, I'm guessing.
We just took advantage of having the landlord's keys to run soundchecks to find out what they can hear from our apartment, how loud we can turn the stereo up, etc. Since we can hear their cat meowing, we've been sneaking around in stocking feet. Interesting practical lesson in concrete structures - the person in our apartment could hear the person in their apartment clearly, but not vice versa.
Of course, when I lived in LA I could hear my neighbor typing, so it's not as bad as earthquake-safe construction.
