Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Um....

Maybe this is useful only as a reminder that Judith Miller is in jail while Robert Novak continues to walk the earth as a free man. Maybe it's something more. But make of it what you will, Novak writes in his Chicago Sun-Times column today that Supreme Court sources -- anonymous ones, of course -- are saying that "ailing Chief Justice William Rehnquist" will announce his retirement "before the week is over."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, sarameg.

My cul-de-sac is under water. A few of my neighbors are floating in the street on an air mattress. I parked on a side street and waded home.

This does not bode well.

-t, may you stay dry. Well, ok you waded, so...may your floors remain above tide.

I might be losing my officemate of nearly 8 years! Waaaaah! He's my buddy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

-t, stay as dry as possible!

To go with your wooden iPod.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Congrats Vortex! December 2006, huh? At least you'll have plenty of time to pack. :looks around condo: :sighs:

I'm A+. Alas, I would have to start taking iron supplements before I could donate, as I'm just a tad anemic.(It's a constant problem for me)

The water level has gone down, thanks. I don't understand why the street flooded, but I'm guessing it will again.

MiL wants to board up her windows. She rented a U-Haul to get the plywood home. I shudder to think what atrocious mark up she paid for buying right now, and I don't know when she thinks we'll get the boards cut and mounted.

Hope your friend gets to stay in another position or something, sara.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

World's ugliest dog.

It's no naked mole rat, but it's something.

Noisy co-worker just snapped at me, because I asked her if she'd done something our boss had told her to do too weeks ago.

I'm crying on the inside.

World's ugliest dog.

Wow.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

World's ugliest dog.

OMG. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

ION news, I think I am going to buy a printer on my way home from work today. If I go to Costco I can save 10 dollars on the one I want, but I think I may go to bestbuy instead, since there I won't be able to buy a 45 dollar bag of M&Ms.

Which one are you buying, Perkins? One that can print onto CDs, I hope.
