"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I thought so.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Katie Couric needs to not name this. American TV needs to not name this.

That would be lovely, if they didn't.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so in none horrible world events news,

A combination of getting my shelves in from IKEA and doing a light installation this weekend got me inspired to finally start working on my kitchen wall that was hit earl this spring with a second mild water damage. Last night I scraped the areas of bubbled paint and got everything prepped to sand tonight. It's really not that much work, but it involved pulling out cabinetry that houses the sink and dishwasher, thus disconnecting pipes in the sink drain. I also discovered that some areas will require spot plaster work which is a bit of a pain, but without a kitchen sionk, I will be motivated to finish it quickly..

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Katie Couric needs to not name this

Katie Couric needs to return to being a brunette with normal-sized lips. (I hadn't seen her in a long time till this morning, and yikes. I can understand why the Kingdom of teh Perky is becoming a tyranny.)

But yeah, the buzz machines are always desperate to give something a name, no matter how inappropriate.

this spring with a second mild water damage.

OK, you need to have the water curse lifted from your place.

Um.

I was longing yesterday for the day when I'll be in London again, and I'm still longing for it today.

Yes this. If only as a two fingered salute to the fuckers who did this.

Brother is good, though stuck at work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My god, msbelle, you're a maintenance whizz-bangy person.

My sister has reported our first related "but for the grace of my alarm clock" story -- well, a friend's husband was early for work, and therefore wasn't where he usually was when the bombs went off, which'd have been right in the explosion. 9/11 we had a friend who worked in one of the towers that was late leaving home.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ground Zero London?

Dude, there were 4 explosions! Which one is ground zero?

Idiots.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Dude, there were 4 explosions? Which one is ground zero?

Wherever the reporter on the scene is standing at the moment.

AWESOME, thegrommit. Thanks for letting us know.

I am distracting myself by reading Overheard in NY. And giggling.
