Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You realize, you are going to go INSANE. Happily, but you will.

yeah, I'm probably going to change my route home so that I drive past it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Just checking in to say I'm so sorry this has happened.

Horrible.

I'm relieved for those whose loved ones have checked in. Continued safe thoughts for those who haven't. For everyone there, really.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Katie Couric needs to not name this. American TV needs to not name this. Did they name the other terrorist attacks on London?

Part of me feels I should be more agitated by this. Hell, a fair portion of that metric buttload of relatives a) live in London b) are of unknown status. But my response is tempered by there not being a damned thing I can do, and the knowledge that millions of Londoners were nowhere near any of the blast sites. I know my immediate family is safe, and that will have to do for now.

Once the dust has settled, I'll look again. In the interim, I'm sure there are plenty of people to pick up the worry slack.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm pretty sure I heard Karie Couric use "Ground Zero London" a few minutes ago.

Okay, that's especially boneheaded.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I thought so.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Katie Couric needs to not name this. American TV needs to not name this.

That would be lovely, if they didn't.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so in none horrible world events news,

A combination of getting my shelves in from IKEA and doing a light installation this weekend got me inspired to finally start working on my kitchen wall that was hit earl this spring with a second mild water damage. Last night I scraped the areas of bubbled paint and got everything prepped to sand tonight. It's really not that much work, but it involved pulling out cabinetry that houses the sink and dishwasher, thus disconnecting pipes in the sink drain. I also discovered that some areas will require spot plaster work which is a bit of a pain, but without a kitchen sionk, I will be motivated to finish it quickly..

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Katie Couric needs to not name this

Katie Couric needs to return to being a brunette with normal-sized lips. (I hadn't seen her in a long time till this morning, and yikes. I can understand why the Kingdom of teh Perky is becoming a tyranny.)

But yeah, the buzz machines are always desperate to give something a name, no matter how inappropriate.

this spring with a second mild water damage.

OK, you need to have the water curse lifted from your place.
