And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

10,000 mpg:

LONDON, England (CNN) -- An eco-car that can travel the world using a fraction of the electricity it takes to power a light bulb has been unveiled by its British creators.

The hydrogen-powered Ech2o needs just 25 Watts -- the equivalent of less than two gallons of petrol -- to complete the 25,000-mile global trip, while emitting nothing more hazardous than water, the UK's Press Association reported.

But with a top speed of 30mph, the journey would take more than a month to complete, even if the car was driven flat out with no pit-stops.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have a new monitor, and everything is oddly stretched out. Idon't know the correct configuration for a flat screen and it makes MY EYEBALLS HURT.

FIREWORKS!!!!

Ah, right where we left off, Jesse.

We need an ironing board and a mattress pad. I don't want to go to Target today, so, chapeau. ^.

At least one of the redcoats yesterday was a woman, which I was happy to see, because I was afraid the two-X chromosome thing would preclude me from dressing up and playing soldier, which is half of what's sucking me into this.

You could be Deborah Samson, aka Robert Shirtcliffe!! Make up a head wound bandage, as well as one for your thigh (she dug the musket ball out of her leg herself, to keep her secret--she ended up discovered due to a case of "brain fever"). Just remember that your uniform'll have to be circa 1782-3, from one of the Massachusetts regiments.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I swear to god, I would watch fireworks every day. I'm excited to go see the Philharmonic in Central Park mostly because of the fireworks at the end. The one thing I miss about my old job is the fireworks at the big summer benefit.

I totally had a book about Deborah Samson as a kid -- I remember the digging-out-the-musket-ball part vividly.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Green jacket and a Baker rifle for Susan, I think.

Oh, indubitably. But since there don't seem to be many re-enactors from that era in this neck of the woulds, I'd probably need a 1770's persona too.

I begin to see the point about the dark side....

Fireworks are fun. But scary for our animals.

OKAY! I'm trying to make my iTunes be shareable so that any of the 4 computers in the house can play it. I've set the preferences and yet no luck.

I need Kristen right now to fix it for me.

Also, I need an ironing board. and someone to help with the various spills I've had today.

Good thing about having a dumb cat -- people set off firecrackers in the neighborhood, the cat's like "OHMYGOD OHSHIT WHATWASTHAT?!?!!? ...oh hey -- check out my tail. Huh."

Always Anti-fascist!

I am really tired of being hot. No, my foaminess doesn't bore me, I'm tired of being bitchslapped by the orb. I pigged out on ice cream over the weekend, and had a story fall into my lap. Those were the happiest things.
