Some of the colonial-era gowns from yesterday were just glorious. I don't see myself ever going Victorian, but I like the colonial look almost as much as the Regency, and it's probably a better fit for my figure.

Nope. Rev War and Civil War both had female soldiers. Some who cross-dressed and pretended to be men, some who didn't (at least in Civil War, don't know about Rev).

Make up a head wound bandage, as well as one for your thigh (she dug the musket ball out of her leg herself, to keep her secret--she ended up discovered due to a case of "brain fever"). Just remember that your uniform'll have to be circa 1782-3, from one of the Massachusetts regiments.

I swear to god, I would watch fireworks every day. I'm excited to go see the Philharmonic in Central Park mostly because of the fireworks at the end. The one thing I miss about my old job is the fireworks at the big summer benefit.
